Wilder has to get his tactics and player selections spot on today and the players HAVE to put on a performance.

A defeat, or one of those lucky wins against the run of play, and I suspect everything turns and it’s the end for Wilder.

Strong rumours he was going to be sacked in the international break, surely he wouldn’t be able to survive another non performance against Lincoln today?

No chance he will be sacked imo

He told us all to just hang on and wait until the International break - then he would have time to sort it out…

So , bit of a moment of truth day to be sure - but to get the sack if it goes tits up ? Not a chance - tbh I think we will just all skulk back home without a whimper- most people are just conditioned to this shit show - including me

I don’t think it’ll be a sackable game but I do think it’ll be a game where the loyal Wilder fans start to turn

It feels like some people can’t wait for us to lose. Even some bizarre comments of if we win but don’t play brilliantly he should be sacked. When did we become so entitled?

It’s a transition season. We have just completed the transfer window. You don’t sack a manager immediately after a transfer window when he’s brought in all his own players and then give another manager the poisoned chalice of trying to get results with a bunch of players who aren’t his.

Remember 12 months ago?

If you’re going to the game, enjoy it, cheer the lads from minute one til the end, and hopefully we’ll get the result. You know, like we always used to.

I don't think it's sackable at the moment, and neither should it be.
However, he's been a full year now, that being a winter and a summer transfer window. So, a reasonable time to make a fair few changes to the Selles period.
Also, in terms of finance, there's only 4 clubs in the league who have any parachute payments. So, we are on a level playing field with the vast majority.
So, starting to run out of reasons for underperforming.

I doubt he will be sacked unless they have a replacement lined up and after the Selles debacle the owners will be very careful about who they bring in
Careful?
What have they done that is careful?
They’re like a bull in a china shop without the subtlety

Hung ho and shoot from the hip.
Shoot first and ask questions later.
Is their MO

I don’t believe a year is a long time to sort that shit out. Otherwise we wouldn’t have sold £20m worth of players and not spent anything on fees.
Take any other club in the division who sells 70% of their goal involvements and doesn’t spend a bean to replace any of them and see where they end up.

It’s not rocket science but a lot believe time is the only factor.

All time has done is allow the owners to sell the most creative players in an attempt to claw back the deficit created by the lack of parachute payments.
There’s no strategy there beyond limping along.
Try working with that budget and getting a competitive team.

Oh, but a new manager will make all the difference 🫣

You won’t attract anyone of quality whilst the owners are in frugal cost cutting mode.

20 teams in the league are working on our budget. This is championship football on championship money. Should be CW bread and butter environment.

Yes but don’t forget 7 players have been on international duty in the break for international matches so we haven’t had them preparing for the game. No-one could have foreseen that.

All players he’s brought in though are garbage
