Southampton have gone back to the early 80's. Time for a relaunch of the Ajax Hobbott kit?

No!

Not exactly sure of the year, but this is me maybe around 1983?

Just had a thought: With the Bet365 rumour floating around, maybe that's why we're having a friendly with Stoke coming up?

Annual friendly with Stoke, maybe. The bet365 Cup.

Oh goody.

Here's something for the people who aren't fans of sponsors on the front of shirts.......

Just remember whatever we have it could be worse.... You could be a Stade Rennais fan.... Must be the award for largest sponsor on a shirt!!!!

Yes of course it's perfectly legal but if adverts each and every second has a Ray Winstone equivalent telling people to go drink constantly I think they'd be cause for concern.

Ah, but Winstone bets ree-spons-ibly. That's why he's been bankrupt twice.

I don't gaaamble, but a bloke I talk to at the matches only has to walk past a casino and he wins £200.

He says.

What about the SISU Talbot kits from the early 80s?

I hope I've not caused this rumour, I posted the tweets as a joke

Whoever it is, we best have it as just the lettering with an outline like this year, lettering with a full block box around it looks rubbish :(

alpha rooms have been taken over since the sponsorship deal and the new owners are not interested in football sponsorship. We now have far more commercial opportunity so it suits everyone...i was told 2/3 betting companies interested and one other but deal now agreed and should be announced very shortly

The away kit colour may not be over popular as well

Here is an odd one. what colour do people everyone associate with us RE away kits me personally it's yellow and red but thinking about it We have only had two yellow and red away kits in my life time and Ive never seen the first in action as Inwas too young? I'd like us to stick to a colour scheme as a form of identity. Some of the away kits we have had I just don't associate with us

It may just be me but, I'm struggling to think of a circumstance whereby a red and white vertical striped shirt would clash with the oppositions kit, but a red and black diagonally striped shirt would'nt ?

I don't really associate any colour with our away kits, though I have come to expect some sort of yellow/lime green atrocity in recent years

If I was to look through History I would say White with Black & Red were the colours we used most. I think pre 80/90s a traditional use of away colours was more favourable ever since its been a free for all.

For me, United''s home shirt should always be broad red and white stripes on front and back and on sleeves. Red stripe being the middle stripe. No ifs or buts. The shorts, not too fussy but I like to see Utd in black shorts for a home kit with white socks, but can live with white shorts and socks.

Away kit...for me should be predominately white cos we look smart as fuk with a white shirt on (Utd's first jersey was white) with red / black supplementing. For a third kit, I quite like a yellow shirt with a white or black shirts/socks. We wore yellow shirts away a lot in the 80s and some of em looked well smart. Trouble is we were crap away from the Lane most of the time.

Any blue/purple/orange abomination should be outlawed.
