18 month contract refers to Rotherham lad I think?
This one is on. He is desperate to come as he wants to move back to England. Wouldn’t rule out a permanent either and we end up giving him a couple of years but loan is looking most likely but we will see. Anderlecht are reluctant to lose him but once the player decides he wants to go not a lot you can really do (as we know). He’s out of contract at end of the season anyway.
Keepers are like wine. They get better with ageAt 38 is a goal keeper still agile enough though?
I wouldn't be against this as he's a regular starter for his team so he must be doing something right.

Brought up here and lived his whole life here, 3 school age kids lived their whole lives here, Premier League more compelling than Belgian League, that sort of thing I'd imagine. Why does he pine for England so bad?
Title challenge in Belgium versus relegation battle in England ?
Best stick with that brilliant 32 yo we have then!Peter Shilton in Italy 90 or David Seaman would suggest there is a significant drop off point though.

Can't get a Beres or a pint of Moonshine in Belgium, can you!?Didn't realise he was their 1st choice Goalkeeper. Played 13 of 20 league games so far.

Shilton in that pen shoot out v Germany 90 still boils my piss even now, ball was already hitting the back of net before he even moved lolPeter Shilton in Italy 90 or David Seaman would suggest there is a significant drop off point though.

Bless 'im, Wes is a pint of Lambrini...does a job for you in desperate times and gives you some great times but with terrible headaches and the odd vomit. Not what you want to be drinking when you're with the big boys though.Aye, Wes gives me heartburn
He went down in instalments on all of them...Shilton in that pen shoot out v Germany 90 still boils my piss even now, ball was already hitting the back of net before he even moved lol
Once they've spilled too much you can never get rid of them?Keepers are like wine.
I saw an interview about that shoot out. The decision not to dive early and try to anticipate was tactical. It was hoped that given the pressure of the ocasion there would be a desire not to miss the target completely and that the shots might therefore not go right in the corner. Unfortunately the ice veined Teutonic bastards hit the side netting every time, and the ageing Shilton wasn't fast enough. He went down in instalments on all of them...

We like grandads! Norwood 33 in April ,Fleck 33 in August.Best stick with that brilliant 32 yo we have then!
Blade for Sale Interesting - thanks for that. When you look at some of the other shoot outs (of which there were many!) you can understand why they might make that decision. It is like watching in slow motion as Shilton dives though!I saw an interview about that shoot out. The decision not to dive early and try to anticipate was tactical. He'd certainly be better than L1 Wes, and he's been dead for about 5yearsRather have the dog off Corrie.

Didn’t Shilton dive the correct way for every pen in that shoot out, but didn’t get a hand on any of them ?Shilton in that pen shoot out v Germany 90 still boils my piss even now, ball was already hitting the back of net before he even moved lol
The most frustrating thing was the presence of Dave Beasant on the bench who was a proper unit with a decent penalty record (saving as he did v Aldridge in Wimbledon's FA Cup win v Liverpool). A tactical sub at the end of ET and who knows?Blade for Sale Interesting - thanks for that. Yeh I think so, problem was the next pen taker was already walking up by the time he landedDidn’t Shilton dive the correct way for every pen in that shoot out, but didn’t get a hand on any of them ?

Wasn’t he Cloughie’s first signing at Forest before they went on to win the league and 2 European Cups ? Would be interesting to see how many penalties Shilton actually saved in his time at Forest.Yeah. He “dived”the correct way (rather stepped or stumbled more accurately) every time when he knew which side the ball had passed him. He was way past it. There were better keepers available.
