Had a quick look and that answer is no.

He signed the season we came down for Leicester. Whilst Cannon went on loan to Stoke. We then signed Cannon in Jan.

That season in the Prem when Leicester went down he scored 5 in 30 matches.
Look at his overall goalscoring output and its not super high. But I suppose you have to bear in mind that until last season he's had 10 seasons in the Prem. Playing for sides who are usually fighting off relegation (Palace).

From memory he's the sort of player who will score a worldie but miss a sitter. But on his day can cause problems for oppositions.
Off his day he can look dreadful, like alot of players.
And at Leicester he had a midfield of Tielemans, Harvey Barnes and Maddison.

im looking forward to him being add to list, it now being 3 of the last 28 signings being poor

This is just playing out like the post Burnley play off final defeat in in 2009, replace it with Sunderland and the sell off our decent players, too many loan signings and the desperate signing of any out of contract player. Henri Camara last time though he did score occasionally, we all know where we ended up a couple of years later.

its a sign of things to come, i've defended wilder but cant defend him now, he's had us on eya
signing players from relegated clubs is a sign of things to come im afraid.

2 months to get him up to speed sketch, if the results are positive the fans will well and truly turn

One of these players is Tom Cannon's 25/26 season, the other is Jordan Ayew's 25/26 season...

Ayew on the left, Cannon on the right. As long as Ayew's not a shell and we're not paying him masses then I don't see much harm in this in a "just help us not get relegated" way

Next up, please could you put my 5-a-side stats next to Tom Cannon’s numbers. I need cheering up too. 👍

McGoldrick and Ayew aren't remotely similar cases
They are in the case of fans felt underwhelmed at signing them.

Ayew won't be the new McGoldrick I'm sure of it. But what I'm saying is lets see how he gets on.

Many also wrote off say L.Clarke and Madine and they contributed too.

I’m indifferent to this signing (hopefully he can add something to the team) but what I’m increasingly frustrated about is the whole approach to this window. Looking at the players that have been available on frees and loans we should’ve been all over this from last Jan! In fact moving forward I believe this should be our mantra from now on. Target the players whose contracts are ending and save what little money we have for signing young players with potential. Pick up your COH’s on free’s, sign your Lankshear’s and One’s for modest fees. And yes, let’s look abroad for gems! A lot of people have mentioned Ito… I don’t know a great deal about him if I’m honest but his numbers do look good, it’s preferable to signing a 35yr old Ayew surely?

It's not exciting. It's short term.

We're highly unlikely to be able to sign the quality we want/Wilder wants on this year's budget. We've missed out on many players according to Wilder so now we're desperate for the best of what's left.

The sooner fans realise that this season is a reset the better. I'd take 4th bottom now quite frankly. Only three teams go up though and they'll be a lot of teams in a more similar situation to us next summer.

We've got a fetish for Leicester rejects - Choudhury, Thomas, Cannon, Souttar (Was v good with us), and now this guy.
