I assume you're talking about when he misplaced a pass in each of those games, which doesn't constitute a lack of concentration.

Last night and the Sunderland game. Also forest in the first legged PO's.
There have been periods in a few games where he looked to have lost his cool, which was unusual.
We’ve conceded 5 in 7 league games. In what way has his concentration been off? Yes he’s prone to the odd gaff but so are all our defenders. If he wasn’t he would have ended up stay in the prem after we were relegatedHis concentration has been off the last few weeks, I wonder if this is why
Well more big mistakes then.I assume you're talking about when he misplaced a pass in each of those games, which doesn't constitute a lack of concentration.
You'd want Anel in the central position and nullify his attacking strengths? That is bizarre. If we were offered £15m it would make sound business sense to offload him and play Bash, Anel and RND
Yep 100%. I never expected RND to be so good at LCB. Clark will struggle to get back in nowPosts that seemed sensible at the time….

Gifted Lolley the ball being casual which led to Johnson's goal in the play offs.
Sloppy short pass to midfield which led to the Gooch goal.
Then last night a careless pass which should have been a Reading goal if it weren't for a last ditch tackle. (Baldock or RND cant remember who)
That being said I am an Egan fan but you can't worry he has a big fuck up in him.
I’ve realised my levels of expectations for the blades players has been way to high. I think it started when I began watching more top end premier league football and without really knowing I started expecting that level of performance from our players. Bloody stupid and I’m a lot happier watching them since realised and I pulled my expectations back. We’ve conceded 5 in 7 league games. In what way has his concentration been off? RE 'Egans not that good' ??? How many clean sheets we had last season and most games Wes never had to get out of his deckchair. Egan is the best CH we had for a long long time and I include Maguire and Morgan. be carefull what you wish forIf I’m United, I’m speed dialling West Ham and saying £10m please. Then snatch their hand off, take off the mask, and go and get Nat Phillips on loan.
if we get a great offer and can sort a replacement then it’s a no brainer
This x1000.We’ve conceded 5 in 7 league games. In what way has his concentration been off?
Basham whilst a fantastic servant to the club,is not a good centre half. If we go with your suggestion forget promotion.I always think Egan has that potential to play a howler at moments in the match and does at times. Anel proving fantastic already and if the money is right, I'd take a decent offer and utilise Bash until January at least.
Not really. Weird obsession on this forum that if a BLADE supporter picks a negative or any criticism of a player it means they think he's shit? Fact is, Egan is a decent defender with the odd fuck up in there. This x1000.
Since we went back to 3 CBs we've had one of the best defences in the division and I'd put my mortgage on that being the case again this season. But some of our fans think the mainstay of that defence, the bloke who marshals them as a unit, and our vice-captain isn't very good. Baffling.
I think it’s baffling that our fans would regard Egan as anything other than a very good defender at this level. Happy to debate that further, if you wish. Not really. Or, worse, people over-generalize. Take Ciaran Clark: after watching him for 60 minutes, some people decided he was shit. Not that he'd had a poor performance and needed to improve, but that he was shit, not good enough, Newcastle had had our pants down, etc. Lo and behold, he turns in a good performance on his next appearance and those people look a bit silly. Now, maybe it's not particularly big and clever to tease those people about their overreactions, bad predictions, etc, but this is a football forum, it's a bit rough and tumble at times and if you make a mug of yourself people will call you on it. Don't rush to unwarranted conclusions and it won't happen!I don’t think there’s an issue with fans criticising players. The issue is when that criticism isn’t supported by a well-reasoned argument.
