Strange appointment tbh. Not really sure what he could possibly bring unless he’s been lined up for next season. But then again I don’t think he’s the right man to get us promoted. Probs brought in because he’s a yes man who won’t really demand anything and who’s counting his blessings even been offered the chance.

He is the AK in Bournemouth’s rise from the lower leagues to the Premiership.
Not a good candidate for manager, but great for new ideas and contacts in the short term.
Agreed, although he's supposedly not on great terms with Eddie Howe anymore so I don't think this will see him come to us at the end of all this.

Why would that affect Bournemouth?
It wouldn’t. It’s possibly connected to his compensation though. It could be paid in stages and, if he takes a job within a certain time, he loses the next payment. He’ll have been on big money so it could be a tidy sum. I’ve no idea if that’s the case but from what I’ve read previously on managers’ compensation, it’s possible.

And who’d actually want to take charge now? We’re going down. There’s an argument that it’s better to start at the beginning of the close season. If it is Howe, it would give him time to find somewhere to live etc, get settled in and then just concentrate on the job.

Just thoughts, no information on any of this.

Eddie Howe is our target for permanent manager. Wife works for Sky sports so shes got it on good authority. She isn’t normally wrong unless we are arguing ;)
Has she mentioned anything about the generally accepted view that Tindall and Howe are done as a partnership mate?

Totally uninspiring. I doubt this is a prelude for Eddie Howe, as he will want paying the going rate for a Championship manager (with PL experience) and a budget for players. We dont offer either.

I remember when Brian Clough left Brighton for Leeds and him and Peter Taylor had a major fallout. Didnt work out too bad for the pair at Forest did it?

Surely it's a done deal if the Tindall appointments is related to Howe coming in? Or is there hope that SUFC aren't going to make another monumental mistake?

Probably a condition of Howe's severance deal that he can't manage a Premier league side for a set period after his last job...
We wont be a PL club.... maybe that's the delay.

Blimey, I’m sorry you’re so cut up but let’s get some perspective here. This is the oldest football club in the world and CW achieved great things during his spell, a very short spell in the context of our history. The Prince backed him with an, under the circumstances, incredible endorsement but his behaviour recently has been nothing short of a spoiled mardy arse.
You might have a partner who you consider the love of your life, gives you the happiest times and who you would think will be with you til you die. However, if they treat your kids unfairly, slag you off in public and refuse to treat the relationship with any respect, there’ll come a time when you think, this can’t go on. Counselling gets you to the point of suggesting that a bit of give and take is needed but no, they believe that everything has to be on their terms. None of us know what actually went on but I’m sure it will be revealed in due course. For me, his behaviour simply could not be tolerated any longer. I have consistently advocated keeping him into next season but, let’s be honest, we have been utterly awful since last March. Yes, yes, we lost JOC but I cannot remember a single game when I thought, “ yes, he’s got us playing with passion and commitment again.” Had we still been a PL side, I’m sure, the Board would, to a degree, have tolerated his demands but recently we, frankly, have looked like the L1 team some on here are convinced we’ll become again.
So, come on, the world will keep turning, Sheffield United will be fine next season. The next permanent appointment is indeed a very important one but all this talk of chanting CW’s name in front of the new manager, is not the behaviour of supporters committed to the Club. It is more akin to unquestioning idolatry of an individual and will be undermining what we all profess to want - success for SUFC.

I'd check that out if I were you. :)

Tindall who did nowt but get Bournemouth to dive, cheat, time waste and moan?🤔 That’s not who we are and so people like him can do a running fucking jump for me

Well maybe he can get our players to dive without injuring themselves.

This Howe and Tindall fallout. Howe did have a major fallout at Bournemouth but it was with that other fella.......was it Sam somebody? Any road up, it wasn't Tindall.

Our new training complex is supposedly identical to Bournemouth’s as well. So he can prance around at training as if he never left the south coast.

The training ground that the Prince promised to build but has since done nothing about?

Lad looks like a cross between MIC’s Spencer and Marco Pierre White

To be honest it’s irrelevant if they had a fallout or not, just as Warnock always turns to Blackwell because they have had success in the past, they learn to live with each other’s ego.

I looked at the Bournemouth forum last night trying to find out about this and there seems to have been rumours that Howe wasn't happy that Tindall took over after he'd gone but as far as I could see nothing had actually been said by both parties. Some Bournemouth fans think it's nonsense. They've worked together for years, Tindall was even a player with Howe. He left to go to Burnley with him too.

As for Tindall he's incredibly well liked at Bournemouth. A lot saying probably not a manager but an excellent coach. Seems like he was basically their version of Alan Knill .
