I don't mind admitting that I was starting to worry a bit about the lack of signings but I am delighted with this weeks activity and very happy with the 5 that CW has made overall. Half way to a promotion team imo, 3 or 4 more quality signings and Bolton wont know what has hit them.

Yeah, I'm the same. Was starting to get edgy and a bit worried about all the activity starting to happen around us, with us seemingly coy about joining the party. But delighted with yesterday's signings.

It's been a fine week. Wilson looks a decent signing as one of that cohort of centre-halves that CW wants. Knill's interview was really good (although sad to see that the blue suit had been abandoned). And then yesterday - the day that all this "patient hard work behind the scenes" really started to pay off.

What's going on, eh? - Stealing a coveted player off a direct rival? Signing a highly promising young player with that much talked about "resale value"? Actually dealing with that gaping hole of a centre-half problem? ... Whatever bloody well next?

Still work to be done, like others have said (we still need a "nasty bastard" at the back, not least). But yesterday was ever so encouraging. And in the context of that being the type of business we're currently capable of: if we have to sell a player here & there as part of the squad reconstruction process, then so be it IMO.
