If he wants to here then he should sign the contract and wait for an opportunity not demand playing time.
We don't know the terms offered. We might be the ones taking the piss for all we know.
Coming over all strong arm now when we let Lundstram walk all over us. That ship has sailed.
Here was my take I posted, starting another thread having not seen this one:
I saw Richard Sooty also mention this on Twitter.
Let's not be like Wednesday please.
The whole George Hirst saga was painful to watch with no winners.
There seems a distance on his proposed contract terms and also he seems to want to understand what chances of development he may get. Remember he is older than Jebbison by a few years.
Be the bigger man. Bring the guy back into the fold. Let him train properly and give the new manager a chance to see what he can do.
If he makes an impression then his contract will solve itself.
But having let Lundstram carry on his antics when running down his deal, it is a bit rich to be now finding the higher ground with some young kid whose career is at a crucial stage. It does feel like picking on the little guy.
Personal principles of the likes of Shieber, Mitchell and JVW whichever is the driving force, shouldn't be allowed to get in the way of what is firstly a young kid and secondly an asset to the football club either saleable or playable.
Sidelining him does neither his retail value, nor his onfield value any good.
It also makes the club look pretty and small minded and we should be better than that.
At a time there is a possibility of signing a 35 year old, last seen playing in Qatar for who knows what wage, let us please have some common sense and good grace.
