Yes, he has been offered a new contract and we have his registration until he is 24 unless a club offer us the fee we are happy with.He is under contract......
NoHis contract situation is the exact same as Lundstrams was![]()
Why isn’t it?
Lundstram isnt our Academy product. We signed him on a 4 year contract on 1st team wages. Why isn’t it?
He’s under contract. May or may not be an option to help ease our creative troubles. Just biting our nose off to spite our face and potentially ruining a 21 year olds career at an extremely important part of his development. It’s very Sheffield Wednesday. And also hypocritical.
Again, that’s how another club does things and I don’t care.Lundstram isnt our Academy product. We signed him on a 4 year contract on 1st team wages.
Ndiaye is our Academy product and we have his registration until he is 24 unless we get the fee we wanted from a club buying him. That will be the reason why Regan Slater's dad is frustrated. about Regan's contract situation but remember they knew the policies when they signed for our Academy. I agree that the rules are harsh for the Academy products. Chelsea and other bigger clubs have over 50 Academy products, refusing to release them until they are 24, still at the club and to me this is stupid stockpiling of the highest order
No, it isnt. You want our Academy to have weaker rules and policies than other clubs' Academies?Again, that’s how another club does things and I don’t care.
Our stance on N’Diaye is hypocritical and bizarre given the Lundstram situation
He’s a player in the last year of his contract with an offer on the table. Just like Lundstram was. End of, I’m bored now.No, it isnt. You want our Academy to have weaker rules and policies than other clubs' Academies?
We have Ndiaye for three more years unless we receive a fee we want for him. You are now bored because you have run out of laughing gas! He’s a player in the last year of his contract with an offer on the table. Just like Lundstram was. End of, I’m bored now.
So if that’s the case why exactly play hardball with a kid?We have Ndiaye for three more years unless we receive a fee we want for him. You are now bored because you have run out of laughing gas!
Yes, I agree. So if that’s the case why exactly play hardball with a kid?
Nose. Face.
I'm sorry if I've missed it but exactly what score did he and his representative know when he signed his last contract?Yes, I agree.
If we are "too soft" then it is not worth having an Academy. Remember he and his representatives knew the score when he signed the last contract. Same for Regan Slater and his dad.
Maybe it's a case of once bitten !Cast your mind back a matter of months… if that’s club policy, it’s pretty hypocritical
For our Academy products, we hold their registration until they are 24 or until we release them.I'm sorry if I've missed it but exactly what score did he and his representative know when he signed his last contract?
You say we've got his registration for 3 more years. Do the contracts and registrations not run for the same amount of time and concurrently?
It seems that like most Academies (if not all), the policy is that you can play if you sign the new contract offer. If he does play before signing the new contract then in the future, others would do the same.Silent Blade
I'm not feeling this at all
If we own Iliman's Registration until he is 24 (shrugs)
Why won't we pick him for the U23 team?
But, why are we worried if we own his registration. Come on, I keep asking that.It seems that like most Academies (if not all), the policy is that you can play if you sign the new contract offer. If he does play before signing the new contract then in the future, others would do the same.
All well and good but not helpful at all if he’s been dropped from ALL squads due to contract disputesBut, why are we worried if we own his registration. Come on, I keep asking that.
He's our player.
I am guessing that the new contract offer will get us a bigger fee if a club wants to sign himBut, why are we worried if we own his registration. Come on, I keep asking that.
He's our player.
He. Is. Under. Contract. To. Us.All well and good but not helpful at all if he’s been dropped from ALL squads due to contract disputes
He. Is. Not. Playing. In. Any. Squad. ThoughHe. Is. Under. Contract. To. Us.
We arent the only Academy that has done that. It has been like this for years. Remember George Hirst at SWFC a few years ago?All well and good but not helpful at all if he’s been dropped from ALL squads due to contract disputes
If we want to develop him as a player. For us. Or for anyone else. He'll have to play games. Surely?I am guessing that the new contract offer will get us a bigger fee if a club wants to sign him
Yes. He. Has. A. New. Contract. OfferHe. Is. Under. Contract. To. Us.
Sorry. Are you and me at cross purposes. I am asking why won't Utd pick him for any squad? He. Is. Not. Playing. In. Any. Squad. Though
Remember the George Hirst situation a few years ago?If we want to develop him as a player. For us. Or for anyone else. He'll have to play games. Surely?
Nevermind thenSorry. Are you and me at cross purposes. I am asking why won't Utd pick him for any squad?
Yes. Great player as a youngster. I really liked him.Remember the George Hirst situation a few years ago?
Because football is ridiculousSorry. Are you and me at cross purposes. I am asking why won't Utd pick him for any squad?
