He's being played more advanced than that, either up front or as a number ten.
That understanding he has with mousset looks very promising though given they’ve only played a couple of games together. Ndiaye looks like a handy second striker he’s not a line leader certainly but that link man/floating role seems to suit him.

I'm sure we'll soon knock that natural ability out of him

Going on long runs, beating players with speed and skill and sticking the ball in the net

Whoever heard of such bullshit

If he can't stick to a rigid formation where he doesn't get more than 25 yards from his own goal line he's no bleeding use to us

I just hope the next Kevin Blackwell clone who manages in 2021 can see this skillful upstart for the fancy Dan that he is and bombs him out of the club as soon as possible.

Hopefully can get a bit more game time with the first team before end of season. Seems to have a good understanding/friendship with his fellow Frenchman Moose

I hope he gets a chance in the first team before fans are allowed back in. If the poor kid misplaces a pass or misses a good chance:

GERRIMOFF
RUBBISH EN-DYE-EE
WUNT AV THIS WI WILDAH
GERRITFORRUD

Our fans don't tolerate creative players.

It would need a big shift in the current pathway of U18’s > lower league loan > U23’s > better loan > possible first team.

Maybe it’s the first time in 5 years that we’re in a position with the first team performing like the U8’s, that we might see a better pathway for these good youngsters to get a few games. It’s ‘needs must’ this season of course.

I remember a blond haired fella ,they took to him ,can't think of his name , maybe it's on a stand roof .

Just play either 3-4-1-2 with him as a second striker or in the hole or play 3-4-2-1 with him and Didzy as second strikers.

I guess that's where the likes of Beerschot and Châteauroux come in.

Think we’ll use beerschot and chateauroux as the pathway for foreign youngsters who need work permits and domestic youngsters from other clubs for the purpose of compo dodging. Sending our own youngsters abroad is an extra level of complication in their development which could have a detrimental effect depending on their personality.

I might throw in a Hodges a sabbela 👍😊

You're throwing a few players well before my lifetime so perhaps I'll amend my previous statement to "creative players in the last 25 years".

In my time we've seen technically gifted players look outstanding at other clubs and get hounded out of Bramall Lane - Dean Windass, Paul Shaw, Paul Ifill, Leon Britton, Nathan Dyer, David Cotterill off the top of my head.

It's the same for goalscorers. We've taken many prolific strikers over the years and they've either been coached into chasing channels, back to goal, drop deep or shipped out. We did it twice with our very own, beloved Billy Sharp.

The first three well past their best ,I'd say the fans love a proper flair player , brooks the last true one

One of the more experienced Academy Youngsters, George Broadbent, is already on loan at Beerschot. Although he has barely had a kick in the First Team. George had already done his stint in the non league loan pathway at Curzon Ashton.

Yeah I’m not sure whether that’ll continue to be the way or whether George has been used as a bit of a United world PR exercise as like you say it doesn’t seem there was a great plan for him to play at beerschot unlike coulibally which was clearly a deal which benefitted all parties.

none of those players were hounded out by the fans. Leon Britton quit on us, in fact.

Technically gifted and Dean Windass in the same sentence. Wow.

I think Dyer barely played for us, made an appearance at the Lane, played really well and then Blackwell didn’t extend his loan or make it permanent, much to the surprise and consternation of the supporters. Similarly, I recall it was Blackwell who had problems with Cotterill, I don’t remember supporters being particularly against him. Britton was never a creative player, he was a sitting midfielder who played in front of the defence for Swansea.

Your point about strikers is more about managers than supporters.

I thought it was more unfair ignoring Laurens Ten-Heuvels seeing that Paul Shaw is on the list.

What sort of player was he then? Target man?

In his younger days he played quite deep but when he was with us he was the slightly bigger guy in a 2 man partnership. Wouldn’t describe him as a pure target man and he had some ball skills but He isn’t the first player that springs to mind when the words technically gifted are mentioned.
