How many in here made it 46/46?

He was just asking how many games people went to. No more no less. I went to 22 at home and 2 away. Plus Wrexham, Spurs and Blackburn.

No. On another thread he was playing the Hugely-Bigly Most Massive Blade in inferring that I had attended one out of forty six. He has form for it. It's the work of the simpletons and lesser-orders on here when they've got fuck all to say about football. It's odd for Silent because usually he has loads to say about football. Maybe the well is empty and he has jizzed his last bolt of SUFC trivia into a tissue and he's desperately trying to claw back some cred. Either way, his attendance record is less than some on here which doesn't make him as bigger fucking Blade than they, which is a shame. He must be gutted. I know I am just being at Bramall Lane only the once and being a bit busy with other lifestyle projects for closer away games. Still, there's allus the telly and several camera angles and replays, no coked up shitheads and my toilet always remains not stuffed with shithouse paper, so that's a bonus.

Not sure if I misinterpreted the OP, but to me it just sounded like he was asking if anyone managed to make it to every game. It didn’t come across as a ‘who is the bigger blade post’ at all so genuinely can’t understand why some are getting out of bed about it.

For the record, I made about 5 home games this season and the semi despite living within 10 miles of BDTBL.
I couldn’t care less what anyone thinks about that because I have a job, mortgage and kids to worry about first.

I love United, always have, always will and to those who can make every game, I genuinely take my hat off. I also feel a tinge of jealousy but many, many years ago - pre responsibilities, I was exactly the same. Life is not the same for everyone and for those who can dedicate most Saturdays and Tuesdays to watching live football then good luck to you.

I didn’t think the OP sought to judge those who can’t (maybe I’m wrong) so take it as it reads.

Yet, on another thread ... * falls asleep *

The only home game I missed this season was against Reading due to Covid, I had bought tickets for the away game at Luton but missed the game due to the illness. The away games I went to were Boro, Cardiff (new ground for me), Millers, Norwich, Huddersfield and Birmingham so 28/46 for me.
At West Brom, young lad (20?) behind me in queue said "£4.50 for a pie, I can't afford that".
"cheaper than Wembley", I said
"Couldn't afford to eat there either", he said, "lads like me ard priced out of the game"
Fair point, I thought, so I bought him a pie.

But how many of us can justify a season ticket and travel and tickets to 23 away games?

Missed quite a few homes due to my chronic illness. Always seemed to get there somehow in the past but missed more than I can ever remember this season. Have scaled aways down too: I'm trying to do the weekend ones as it's easier for me to be home earlier to rest. Have bought quite a few unused tickets which is annoying and aren't featured on my total.

Homes (including Cup) : 22

Aways (including cups and Wembley): 11

MASSIVE BLADE. The biggest. Truly. Hugely bigly.

Does that give the right to anyone over 28 to be cunty in their comments regarding your attendance? Or does it really ... fucking ... matter?

What is your opinion of those who attend no games, don't watch it on streams and don't even listen to it on the radio but read the match reports in the papers? What about those who don't even do that, yet consider themselves to be Sheff Utd supporters. But they have a shirt. It's the 1993 blue third one and the shield badge has been bleached a bit. They wear it for gardening sometimes.

HRT Silent. You can even get it as a wearable patch.

I've been catching up with the responses and I did take the OP's post at value. If it was a wind up, then presumably it worked.

I couldn't comment as I'm not on here often these days and certainly not enough to notice or even be interested in, any personal battles that take may or may not take place.

I do, naively perhaps, tend to take people's posts at face value. It's easier that way. I generally love your "My Take" posts.

Any road up.

I've missed quite a few home games, largely due to train issues, stupid ko times and sometimes, lack of available and affordable accommodation in Sheffield for evening kick offs. Away games have been Luton 'udders and Wembley.

How many? No idea and can't be arsed to count.

Fair play to anybody, especially long distance travellers, who have managed ALL home games.

Hopefully next season will see some return to normality.

Oh, hang on, Saturday afternoon fixtures are going to be as rare as rocking horse droppings next season aren't they?

Cheers EPL!

Great. And you shouldn't be. But sneaking into one of mine with a 'so you attended 1/46' snidism is just inviting him to stick his arse out to be kicked.

I don't give a fat fuck how many shirts people own, how many tats they have or how many games they've attended. For a myriad of reasons, many can't attend games, or even stream them.

Silent is ploughing the same tossers furrow about being a Billy Big Blade and when called out about it, pretending he is fishing for a bite. Tweak the tail, get the fucking horns.

You really are a miserable git aren’t you.

Whatever his intentions, and I doubt they were as you suggest, at least he doesn’t but into this ‘fashion’ of relentlessly criticising the team as not good enough even when they storm promotion.

Put the kettle on and make a cup of calm down rather than having a pop at people for no reason.

Been to every match - home and away in every competition since Sept 1970 . Many I've attended in person , some I've followed on ceefax & teletext , some via radio (but not many as i get too nervous if i can`t see whats happening ) some via the teleprinter , some via SKY , some via some dodgy stream , some via my mates and WhatsApp (when i`m working out of the country) some via the Green Un and News of the World, some by a phone call from my Grandad , some by Keith Macklin - i could go on but i think you get my point ......

And you're a bucket of grins, feller. Anyway ...

'Storm promotion'? You were a bit quiet when we were being chased closely by Boro and playing like shite, weren't you? And no, contrary to your misguided opinion, I have never said 'they aren't good enough'. I have maintained, even through our cup run, that promotion is the prime priority and it is within our grasp. I even recall calling us as 'up' after Hudds dispatched Boro. Just because I don't suck Sander Berge's johnson because he runs with the ball for ten minutes out of ninety and think Oliver Norwood is a (now becoming proven) one trick pony doesn't equate to me 'relentlessly criticising the team'. How do you feel about Lowe's overall season? Fleck? Davies? What about our most expensive signing, last seen leaping about after the last home game with 'an injury' which has kept him off the pitch since Tony Currie was playing? Do you ever see me criticise Anel, Doyle, McAtee or NDaiye? So it's not what you imagine in your disturbing worldview.

Put the kettle on and make a cup of calm down rather than having a pop at people for no reason.

I have my reasons, and if Silent left me alone I'd reciprocate. He has no reason to turn on the billy big blade bollocks with me. So grab yourself a big fat mug of bite me.

Maybe it would be fitting if Silent stayed in his own swimlane and stuck out a 'how many games have you been to post?' instead of parachuting into 'My take ...' with a similar cunty comment? As you ... and many others ... have said, it means fuck all. But to some, actual attendance is a badge of validity as a Blade. Or even being able to comment on the match at all. Unless you've been sat in the ground, your opinion is irrelevant. That's the tack. Kinda disqualifies a heck of a lot of people on here does that. In fact it drives a narrative of exclusivity in which if you live overseas or far away or even don't go to the match by choice, you should shut the fuck up about anything United because only those who go to matches can hold the horn.

Silent used to own vast tracts of United internet folklore and credibility as a fount of Blades trivia and facts rivalling even the best. Now I have no idea why he is turning his guns on me. Previously I have held him in high respect but like SItwell, whom I have cohabited boardspace for many years and respected as a fellow Unitedite they seem set on eating their own just for the sake of a fucking arse on a plastic seat.

I don't go 'looking for anyone' on here. I have disagreed with people and expect them to disagree with me and my opinions about SUFC and the football they play. But when it comes down to the stupidity of 'how many games did you physically attend' to earn your fucking wings then it becomes tiresome and the work of wankers.

To add some balance, there are plenty of Bladey Blades that go to every home game and still know fuck all about the game, including the two very annoying gentlemen who sit behind me in the SS.

I envy those who go to the vast majority of away games too. Think I've missed two home games this season due to holidays but not managed any away games. Wanted to go to Rotherham and Huddersfield but no fucking chance getting a ticket. First time I've not been to at least one away game in a season for a while, apart from Wembley, but not counting that. I have seen plenty on either Sky or SUTV as fortunately you can watch just about every game these days.

Weirdly went to more away games in the Adkins season than any other, and perhaps more bizarrely, we won two of them.

10/10 for any road up.

Missed a few home games: went to about 20; plus the cup games Wrexham (h), spurs, Blackburn, and Wembley.
Went to Preston away - 1st away game for probably 15 or 20 years: decided on the spur of the moment at lunchtime on the Saturday to drive up, pay 20 odd quid and get a ticket on matchday for the 3 o’clock kick off. If there were a mythical world where you could do that every week, I’d probably go to the majority of away games.

Your “my take” threads are a constant stream of criticism. Anyone who can read would agree with that.

I’m mainly glad to see there are plenty of people who don’t sit there and just let you get away with bullying other members for innocent posts on a discussion forum. That’s why I stuck my two penneth in - you don’t run the forum and it’s not a place for your aggressive and frankly bizarre posts.

No they aren't. When players play well, they get praise. Good marks. When have I criticised McAtee, Doyle, Anel or NDaiye? Go back and have a look. Or is it 'just what you want to read' over 'what is actually stated'. I think you have problems with reading. There are books and help online with that stuff.

'Bullying'? And 'innocent posts'? Is Silent paying you for this shite?

Feller, you are super tough and clearly one not to be messed with, no siree.

Just scroll past, eh? I'm not worth it, and neither are you.

Who cares about this shit? Attend the games you want to attend and let others do the same. None of your business how many people attended.

I was lucky enough to get a ticket for Wembley vs Man City and pre season friendly against Barnsley. That's it.
Last season went to play off semi.
I check the score if I remember we're playing.

Gosh no. It's dreadfully important (for some reason) that if you hold an opinion about the game, how it was played or the players, your arse MUST be parked on a plastic seat in the ground to be valid. No explanation is given for this mind you. I get it, because it's evident you can see every fucking nuance about the game from H Block. pitchside at the JSS/Kop or as I found out, behind the goal in the BLUT.

Like it fucking matters. But it does, to some, clearly. Because it is a measure of your Billy Big Bladeyness, y'see?

I can't be arsed to put a gif of Fozzie Bear facepalming, but you get the idea.

From my own personal situation at the time, I had lost my (was part time carer) mom in late 2015 and stopped going to home games.
I used to go to most home games and the odd away game
Couldn't get any enthusiasm to go.

When CW took in 2016, I decided to go back to the lane for that first home game, I fell apart mentally, walked out after 15 mins
What happened next will shock you...

It was the same on the Wembley threads. Fans moaning about “day trippers” not being “proper Blades” that go to every match getting a ticket and getting better seats than them. It’s pathetic.
If those “day trippers” hadn’t gone and it was left to fans who go every week we would have had a shocking turnout and been embarrassed on TV. Instead it looked somewhat respectable.

Have you actually read the OP or are you another one jumping on the insecurity bandwagon. In all seriousness I can't believe this thread was still rattling along through the evening whilst Eurovision was on. Some people have no shame.

Yeah, I know Cheesebord. I'll bet you were sat there all ready in your lippy, naked and shaved apart from a cowboy hat, feather boa, chaps and one of those nameless objects you blow into that unfurls and goes 'toot!' with a vodka martini and a family pack of Revels cheering on Croatia.

Y'know, you shouldn't comment on it unless you were actually at the semi finals similarly attired ...
