My only argument is with the first Newcastle goal - how on earth you and your ex professional goal keeping father can blame Henderson for the first goal is not something most of us agree with, which is where I first came into this discussion.
This first picture for me shows in 99.99% of games there is no danger.
1) the ball across the box - nothing wrong with Hendos position. Most would expect Stevens to trap the ball with his right foot and given the time and space a pro footballer should know that he has - except Stevens possibly panics (probably because he needs to trap in on his right foot)

2) The miss by Stevens - Hendo still ok - there's no reason to assume Stevens will miss the ball.

3) Ball arrives at St Maximin - Hendo has turned, moved perhaps 2 yards to his left and set himself as much as he can in the time allowed - but that time only allows him 2 yards. Ideally he needs to be perhaps 4 yards. Hendos position gives St Maximin no decision to make where he's going to put it.

4) the ball is by Hendos left foot - no choice other that to go with his feet. If Hendo had the time to get to where he is at this point, he would have made St Maximin make a decision as to where to shoot. Sorry, but there simply wasn't the time to get across, get himself set and make St Maximin choose what to do. Picture 3 had made St Maximins mind up.

5) Ball has ricocheted off his left foot into the net.

What I do agree with, is Hendo hasn't looked his best - quite possibly is he is missing JOC who's been on the left for most of Hendo's time with us which may expalin a few things.
