100th anniversary since we won our last throphy beating Cardiff in the 1925 final. Special anniverseryshirt on limited sale.

To my mind it’s a pity that there’s a fair few negative comments about this cup draw. I know the powers that be seem to be doing their best to trash the FA Cup as it is swept out of the way to make room for inferior fair and I particularly hate the lack of replays. One of great joys of being a supporter is a midweek cup replay under lights but despite this I still love FA cup football, it is a random draw unlike all the dreadful European and International competitions with their tedious group stages and contrived complexities to attempt to make sure that the clubs or countries with the biggest TV audiences make it through to the rounds where the most cash can be squeezed from the gullible.

The beauty of a random draw has been seen tonight with a fair number of giant v minnow contests but equally by Man Utd getting drawn at Arsenal. Yes, us against Cardiff might not set the pulses racing in quite the same way but it’s part of the challenge and part of the journey. If we take it seriously and I hope to hell we do, we need to get through every challenge and go again and in this case it seems part of the challenge would appear to be a motivational challenge amongst the supporters.

The best thing to be said for our draw is that it’s winnable!

The last good cup ran started with us away at millwall. That was a dull and very wet experience, but as you say, the journey can end up being amazing, like that season.

Think I'll go to Leeds v Harrogate. Be good to see a giant killing.
For Harrogate's sake, I hope this is a sensible kick off time. It could even be a TV contender now Hollywood are out, either this or City vs Salford. But Harrogate have a good chance for getting a decent pay day win or lose, it is probably the best away draw they could have hoped for outside of Old Trafford/Liverpool in terms of 45% gate receipt revenue.

I'm hoping that I might be able to see both our game and the Harrogate game - unlike last Friday when both games were moved to Friday night

its a sign

exactly 100 years since we last won the fa cup we start this season with a repeat of the 1925 final

playing cardiff city again

coincidence ? I think not
If we win 1-0 I will start to believe.

Agree what a shite day and time for the match, maybe 14-17k there, god knows what time any Cardiff fans will get home specially with the possibility of extra time etc.

We are the only game on that day. The FA originally advertised that 'games will be played between Friday 10th to Monday 13th January'.

And 7pm!? Fans of both sides will struggle to get there for that time mid-week. i know a lot of ours struggle for 7:45 games after work

However, we are..... 'Live on BBC Wales'.

Fuck i ffwrdd !!

Offer 1500 loyalty points which are added to your account if you attend the game which they will be able to check with the ticketting system

Hopefully both clubs will agree to a tenner a ticket for adults and a fiver for kids under 5 and free for under 5's

So few people were going to a game neither club will play anywhere near their strongest team scheduled to make sure nobody bothers to go

Our's isn't the only Thursday game. Everton v Peterborough is on iPlayer and Fulham v Watford is on Thursday and not even televised, I guess because of lots of London teams at home.

Ah yes, I read that completely wrong...

They've just bought the rights to Pobol y Cwm and can't delay the start of it

THURSDAY 😡. what a crock of 💩. i was going not now. & this could be our lowest fa cup attendance for quite a while

this is what annoys me as the fa & tv companies say why is the fa cup is dying, why have we got low attendances. because their sticking it behind a stupid paywall & sticking it on Thursday night. what was wrong with Saturday
