A striker scoring goals and gaining confidence is a dangerous one. I reckon the wolves game on Sunday will suit him, like when he played at Preston starved of the ball, breaking and running the channels, just got to find him with a pass.

Well you just wander about aimlessly all game Tom. No need to contribute at all. Despite having to work doubly hard because you’re pussying about up front, someone will manage to put a ball through to you on a plate. Good God if only the football in the Championship was as easy as when you were at school.

Having said that. It’s obviously his game, and if you’re going to play him you may as well accept that he’s not going to contribute in most other ways and you’re going to have play someone more advanced to feed him the chances. Duffy would have been ideal.

So over to the tactical genius Wilder. If he starts him on the left wing I know he’s lost the plot. If he plays him in a two with a central midfielder advanced we might see the best of him. I’d play a midfield five with Romel taking the ball in an advanced central midfield position whilst you stiffen up the entire middle with Phillips Peck McCallum and RND. Admittedly that leaves the three static disasters at the back but needs must.
