I couldn't disagree more with you thinking that 1000 loyalty points for a home game is OK, when some away games give 50 points. 20x as many point

I actually can't imagine anyone genuinely thinking this is a valid idea and will assume you are just trolling
Just because I hold a different opinion to you (as do others), it doesn’t mean I am trolling.

I’ve said before on another thread I’d do this for cup games to incentivise fans to attend. I’ve also said I’d increase points for away games too. They have remained the same since it was introduced and each year the value of 50/100 points is less and less.

Just give enough points so that if someone has a bit of a cry about "I need x points to get a ticket for (big home league game) it's not fair" we can say "where were you against Cardiff, now fuck off"

Very true, but you haven't just made a flippant comment here, which we all occasionally do, then realised upon review that it was wrong or a bit daft. You've come back to the thread and maintained your opinion, which if I am being honest means you've lost your marbles or are trolling, in my opinion.

How you can genuinely think that loyalty points (emphasis on loyal - look it up) would reward fans going to a home game between 6-20 times as much as for away games is beyond me to comprehend how critical thought can lead to that conclusion.

Just had a quick look - I haven't been to every away game this season, especially early on (missed Norwich, Hull, Portsmouth - Leeds ticket was bought off another fan), so my total loyalty points earned on my account are:

Preston 50 - Barnsley 50 - Boro 100 - Blackburn 50 - Bristol 150 - WBA 100 - Millwall 150 - Cardiff 150

Total 800.

So you are saying that loyalty is only valued at 80% of attending one particular home game. That is why I think it's ludicrous

I’ve maintained my opinion because it’s my opinion. Just as you have yours that you’re not moving from and that’s fine, you’re entitled to it.

I don’t know why you’re being so personal and rude about it tbh.

Simply because if you look at it from my point of view, your opinion is openly challenging the value I bring by attending the games the team plays. The club demonstrates how it values loyalty by awarding points. Your idea literally values my away support at 80% of that of attending the home game.

Well you’ve clearly not read what I’ve put as I’ve said I’d increase points for away games, also.

1000 was extreme but just a thought really to incentivise more through the turnstiles.

We made it 300 to fans who could make palace away last year so it can be done.

Bring back kid for a quid and concessions at £5 with standard tickets at £10 and maybe go from there. It’s a long old trek from Cardiff on a Thursday probably be setting off around lunchtime too.

These early round cup games should absolutely give more loyalty points than your average away game. Not because it demonstrates more loyalty, but because it might encourage thousands of fans that could go to turn up.

Away games should give more points than they currently do anyway, particularly the unattractive ones. Even still, this might only encourage a few hundred more to travel.

They're giving 150 loyalty points for the FA Cup game.

Think that's the most people could hope for considering Millwall, midweek was 150

No Shoreham again = zero atmosphere. Get yanks in!

Contrary to popular belief, there is not some sort of Faraday cage-esque device in the South stand that prevents you from creating atmosphere there. Heck, with it being first come first serve, all the crybabies that are "can't sit with mates together on Kop so can't create atmosphere" can now sit together!

Ha! The fact that you said that there isn't a Faraday cage-esque device in the Werthers stand is clearly intended to throw the Shoreham Boys off the scent.

Also, what is this "sitting down" you speak of?

But if they go all the time, they’ll have plenty of points anyway, so it won’t make any difference to them.

Applying what ifs for a very small population of people who might be on holiday in early January, shouldn’t really impact the club doing a nice gesture for tens of thousands of fans.
“tens of thousands” ? Really !

What if a non league club get to the 5th round. Do they spend £1.5m getting VAR installed for one game? Do they get thrown out of the cup if they don’t?
What if they’re playing another lower league club so a ground switch isn’t an option?
Scrapping replays has done away with any notion of that ever happening again

The FA don't want that.

If a non league club get to the fifth round, then I'm sure the additional cameras which TV will be bringing to handle the game will suffice

Really need to rest some players but who have we got to step in for this fa cup?

I'd say Rnd with mcallum at the back, maybe another start for one, brewster, maybe marsh for ohare?

Hopefully some players returning can get half an hour to ease back i to it for norwoch game.
