Serious question. Not sure me sen. I think it would cost him money. Alot easier for the club to be run at break even in L1 in my opinion - even if TV income up in 2nd tier.

This bunch clearly have no chance of competing in 2nd tier (would need 15 new players to add to the 2 or 3 capable enough) so he either dips is hand in pocket or we endure another term of upheaval, ineptitude and almoste certain relegation.

Q) What is the opposite of a Woman City?

And....

Who won the League Cup in 1976?
Which club was previously known as Ardwick FC?
Who did Luton beat in 1983 to secure their top division survival and prompting David Pleat's famous jig?

Mic,

He can usually be found in the car park pre-match (full ppe, tripod mounted gps measure and metering wheel) so why not just ask him?

In the event of promotion, I have it on very good authority that McCabe would access all supporters' bank accounts in order to fund 'future growth'.

Accounts holding £20,000 to £100,000 face a 6.75% levy, and any account with more than £100,000 a tax of 9.9%.

What a well thought out, reasonable question, I wonder if roman abramovich realises that going down to league 1 and facing Hartlepool on a cold Tuesday night is in fact the best way to enjoy owning a football club

What on earth are you on about SccobBlade?

McCabe doesn't enjoy SUFC anymore, unless you count owning the freehold and buying the Hotel Ltd for £1 as his enjoyment.

He wants out Scoob, so funding a L1 team seems alot better bet to me.

Is it easier to sell a L1 club or a Championship club?

Depends what the asking price is. If we go up, debts will go up because he'll have to spend otherwise we'll get 20 points - if debts are up a sale is less likely so I am afraid Cooper it aint as easy as your smart alec, rhetorical question makes out.

Oooo - you naughty troll. I am really upset about this hijacking of my stringa nd will never post again because of it.

Just remind Darren - your ethical Co-op bank helps businesses who quite blatantly avoid paying PAYE/NIC for as long as is physically possible? Yes or no?

Well that's convinced me. A life times commitment to the Labour Movement and all his emanations disappears in a whiff of smoke when you remind me that the Co-op bank helped Wednesday.

I'm off to open an account with Barclays...

Yawn.

I could reiterate the same points again: We have the largest wage bill in the division, we are working within FFP, he has nothing to do with on field matter blah blah blah

But you don't really want a structured response, do you?

So instead, here is my answer: Ye McCabe what a c***. He hates Sheff Utd and I have it on good authority that he told Wilson to start playing 4-5-1 and not win games because we don't want to get back into t'Championship.

Boring mate. What are you gonna do if we do get promoted? and what would have happened if Ched didn't go down and we would have gone up at first time of asking? Would you make your account dorment?

I have it on good authority that it was McCabe who advised the Cypriot government to fleece the bank accounts. Does anyone else know of any hitherto unknown sins that that spawn of satan is responsible for?

Mic, you should be happy we have McCabe imagine if our club was owned by Venky's and Shebby Singh was in charge.

Crikey that would be really bad.

Will sort you another opportunity to turn down asking the man himself shortly Micalijo

Though you are right to push this, don't you often wonder if these Q&A's get into the real detail of anything of substance? If the dialogue from pervious ones is anything to go by, we'd hear;

Mic: Kevin, do you actually want promotion
Kevin: Yes, of course.

Next question..............

It would (IMHO) be much better if the remit of Q&A's were greatly reduced to give much less wiggle room.

Agreed. We should get Foxy, Linz, and Mic to waterboard McCabe in front of a paying audience in the Executive Lounge before opening the Carvery at 8pm.

To be fair though, the question is a daft one in the sense that we know what the answer will be and it is then up to all of us to decide whether or not we believe the answer. Even if there were more time the dialogue would only look like this:

Mic: Do you want promotion.
Kevin: yes
Mic: no, you don't
Kevin: yes I do
Mic: no you don't

etc, etc, etc

Yes, true. But if I asked;

"Did you really need to sell our top striker, again, in the middle of a promotion chase?"

I'd get

"Well, when Palace come calling, who am I to stand in the way? Next question please....."

I seem to remember Mike McDonald being asked at a fans' forum whether he wanted promotion. He fudged the answer and said that it scared him (presumably for the financial implications).
