Given Jebbo’s progression which was adequately demonstrated in his performance on Saturday , the idea of him being sent out on loan should not even be a consideration .

Whilst he still has some way to go to become the finished article , he is not that far away and could cause serious problems for many of the weaker defences in the PL and from personal observation there are plenty of them .

That being said , it is abundantly clear that we will need at least one other striker with Billy coming towards the end of his career and McBurnie being just not good enough .

In this respect we have to be realistic and recognise that if any players become available who can be relied upon to score 15 + goals in the PL then we will be well down the pecking order in terms of our ability to sign them .

With that in mind and assuming Luton miss out in the play offs , I think we could do a lot worse than than taking a punt on Carlton Morris who has impressed me every time I’ve watched him this season .

Yes , I know that his career so far has not exactly been stellar but there are plenty of examples of players who have not reached their full potential until their late 20’s and I think he is one of them .

20 goals and 7 assists in this year’s Championship is not to be sniffed at and way ahead of any of our players and whilst I wouldn’t expect him to repeat that in the PL , even half that would make a significant contribution to our chances of staying up .

On a final note I should say that it is not just the number of goals he has scored which has impressed me but also the manner in which he has taken some of them , which many a top class striker would have been proud of .
Ian Wright didn't show his best until late twenties.

Definitely, he surprised me today. By far the best I've seen him play, but by then the game was stretched and that suited him.
It would be interesting to compare todays cameo against a start on Thursday.
And there's your answer, crap tonight

It also might boost his confidence by feeling part of the squad. I'm sure that would mean alot to him.

I was wrong. He still needs to work on his upper body strength. Huddersfield bullied him quite easily.

He still has time on his side though.

Needs to spend a season out on loan in the Championship. He's inconstant to the point of playing really well or really badly. Can't rely on him in the top flight. We'll have very few chances.

He's still young and still has a lot to learn. Needs to learn by playing every week.

He has barely done anything at championship level. We have to loan him out. We cant be expecting him to do owt next season, we cant gamble on hoping he might occasionally have a half decent game. The minimum we should have coming off the bench is mcburnie. If we take sharp and jebbo into the epl we have no ambitions or firepower . -If your struggling at this level, wtf are doing in the prem.

Clear over the last few weeks that he should have a season out on loan and get 30 to 40 games under his belt. Lacks composure in front of goal when the big moments come to put the ball in the back of the net. This will only improve by playing games and gaining experience.

According to Jack Lester Jebbo and Osula are the future and extremely well thought of, so who knows best, him or the muppets on here

Jebbo is only 19 if he still inconsistent at 21 or 22 years old then they would have a point.

Totally agree but I don't see how he becomes consistent with us as he can't start in the Premier next season..

We need to give him time but I'm not sure he's a natural goalscorer and he's not going to learn how to become one sat on the bench. Full season loan to a club like Ipswich would be best for him.

Some funny comments here.

He’s shown some nice flicks, touches and lay-offs tonight and last week. Pace, decent strength, power, tenacity and some decent touches. He makes a few bad decisions but most 19 year olds will. He will learn. He has the attributes to get better and i don't think anyone is saying he’s the finished article yet but lots of promise. He should of scored a few more but he gets himself in the right positions and once a couple go in it will help build his confidence and composure in front of goal.

Personally i would have him in front of sharp, mcburnie and osula in the pecking order based on current form. He makes things happen and is quite exciting to watch compared to some of the others.
