We'll remember Leon for his brilliant goal-haul for us. I'll remember his performance against the Pigs at the sty. If anyone wants to see perfect, polished, centre forward play then re watch that game.

He confused their defensive line with his movement, bullied them with his physicality, was a huge factor in Brooksy' amazing performance by communicating with him throughout but also taking his chances (infact the only complaint that day is he didn't score 2 more).

Bradford at home, Pigs away, Hull at home, the goal vs. Coventry - thanks for the memories Leon ❤
 
If/when he goes he's been a great player for the club and an astute buy - he even took a pay cut to join us!

I was sceptical at first but he really proved many of us wrong. Hasn't really been the same for about 12 months admittedly, but will have fond memories, in particular that goal at Northampton and the two against the pigs.
 
Will genuinely miss the big lad, gave us everything he had, his best season as a pro footballer, can't ask for anything more than that.

Would have loved him to be here to the end of the season, but he has his career to consider.

People called him a journeyman when he arrived, a cheap signing, and the pigs laughed, as if Leon Clarke could cause them any trouble at the sty?, well he took that and rammed it down their pig throats, out paced their defenders for his first goal and knocked them around like rag dolls for his second.

Ended up joint third top scorer of the season, two goals off the top spot.

Leon could still be part of the Blades promotion push if he bangs a few goals in for Wigan against our promotion rivals.

One goal that never gets nothing like the credit it deserves was the one at Brentford this season. I don’t think enough people realise it was hit first time, on the volley and also hit the back of the net without touching the deck.

He’s definitely worked hard for us and has my respect for one.

Yep, as mad as that sounds. Around that time (and just after) they had a few 'big names' on the books; Vaughan, Kirkland, Pennant, Chris Brown, Neil Danns...

Leon came here as we offered him a longer deal and more financial security.
