That would be one exceptional good transfer window if all that comes off.

I'll be honest - setting yourself up to fail or not, you've been upfront and honest about what you know without being cryptic. You called Hamer and are passing on what you know so failure or not you've done good already - don't expect a stoning just yetFast moving market now, Hecky demanded action, mate on holiday, beer flowing so I'm probably setting myself up to fail but there you go.
Yes and we've already spent:It's unlikely but we have received £30m plus from selling our two best players and we have a massive increase in income this year.
It isn't that much in that context.
Berge, Sharp, Stevens and O’Connell wages were though.Yes and we've already spent:
£5m Traore
£5m Trusty
£2m Slimane
£12m Souza
If we added £43m on top of that with the 4 deals mentioned then we've spent £67m and had an income of £31m (based on supposed Ndiaye/ Berge sale fees). That's a net spend of £36m plus a shed load more wages as Ndiaye's contract wasn't significant. Seems highly unlikely to me.
We sure this is off? Unless my contact is out of date, then Akpom 8m and Archer 10m (with buyback) are still top of the list of who we want. Archer easier as the buyback option is speeding things up now. Doyle (10m) is very much on. What I can't work out is that Doyle is also meant to be a permanent? Do our funds do all of the above? Looking more and more like one loan now. Palmer was favourite but City undecided if they are loaning Palmer or McAtee now. No mention of Smallbone. Contact has been on the San Miguel's though and the bar opened at noon.

Did Robson do the grain? Wasn’t he meant to be partial to distilled potatoes instead. The suspects...

Why? We’ve just got circa of £35m for Berge and Illy, plus any transfer budget.I can't see the funds stretching for that, and had seen that we weren't willing to enter a bidding war for Akpom
Would take Archer for 10, depending what the buyback fee is, and always happy to have Doyle back.
How convinced are you that your source is accurate?
Yeah but would assume we've spent about the majority, if not all, of that 35 on Hamer, Souza, Traore, Slimane and Larouchi - plus no guarantee we got 35 so more than likely have spent it all alreadyWhy? We’ve just got circa of £35m for Berge and Illy, plus any transfer budget.
Get them in!
You're still on't bottom rung after that Ndiaye stuff, mitigating factors or not.Putting everything I hear on here now as I want to get to the top of the ITK leaderboard on General Blades Chat. Guns dont get sources, Rockets do![]()
£10m for Souza, as it was €12mYes and we've already spent:

There was transfer budget before the sales so in theory that has not been spent yet, whatever that maybe.Yeah but would assume we've spent about the majority, if not all, of that 35 on Hamer, Souza, Traore, Slimane and Larouchi - plus no guarantee we got 35 so more than likely have spent it all already
Hopefully, but nobody really knows for a fact as it was undisclosed. All my figures are guesses based on people's comments. Not saying you're wrong but there's been all sorts reported.£10m for Souza, as it was €12m
Doubt we've spent £12m on Souza but even if we have with some big wages going out the door it still isn't a huge net outlay in the context of turnover going up by around £100m.Yes and we've already spent:
£5m Traore
£5m Trusty
£2m Slimane
£12m Souza

Nixon now saying “maybe two or three more midfield/attackers”. That tallies with #bidsflyingin.
That's surely not how this works though? When working out a budget you always consider how much you can potentially receive in players sold. Did they SPECIFICALLY say its for players incoming ONLY.It was widely reported that the original transfer budget was £20m and we increased that by £35m … and if we’ve spent around £35m we should, in theory have £20m left.![]()

Would be a net spend of 28 mill (ish including the others) not that far from reality I don’t thinkAkpom £8m
Archer £10m
Doyle £10m
Hamer £15m
You think we’re about to spend £43m? If we do the Spanish beers are on me.
Maybe we're not factoring in Jebbo going somewhere![]()
