Piroe would be a good one to pick up with an eye on relegation. Sounds bad that doesn't it, but it's a genuine point. Lot of players we could get like this and it's a good idea IMOAkpom is too expensive for one good season imo. I'd be more inclined to look at who gave him the service this year to suddenly become a prolific scorer like Ryan Giles with 11 assists from LB. Stewart and Morris would be two relatively cheap options. I'd try a trade with Swansea with Piroe and manning for Brewster +cash.
That's the way I'm thinking about it. If we don't have the money to have a real go next season make some better deals to ensure we have a competitive squad back in the championship. It's negative but I think a smart strategy for the club. Bonus points if we have the players to change formation too and not too rigid like last time.First of all, get the title changed. It is disrespectful. It should at the very least read 'The Great Chuba Akpom' if not 'Benzema'
Him and Ndiaye behind a CF would be unbelievable and would keep us up. We'd have to throw a lot of money at him though..... but I do hope we're open to the odd spend like that because it could be the difference

Linked to Palace, has ever been a more Palace type signing than Akpom?
Not for me, Cameron Archer a big fat yes...

Amazing to me how people want to bring in a young forward with about 50 league games, a handful of which were in the Premier League, and he's going to be a difference maker, yet we have a younger player who has played about 50 league games, a handful of which were in the Premier League, and some people are bricking it if we ever needed to use him because "zomg no experience"
Given our rumoured budget, then unless he's on a free can't see us going in for him.Only a year left on his deal

How would we fit Akpom, Archer, Ndiaye, McAtee, Doyle and Berge into a starting 11?
-----------Henderson
Walker --- Anel ---- Coady ---- RND
Berge ----- Doyle ----- McAtee
-------------Ndiaye
-------Akpom ----- Archer
It won't ever happen, but can you imagine having those starting?![]()
Nice
2026What date does Kyle win the Champions League so he can then come and sign for us?![]()
Saw a boro fan on Twitter saying they should sell him for £20m while they can get it in case he goes back to being shit. If anyone is stupid enough to pay more than about £8million I'd be shocked.
Because prior to this season he'd scored 31 goals in 10 years. If you'd be happy risking £8m on 1 seasons form then fair enough. He was shite in Greece before that. It's nearly a quarter of a century since £7m got you Carl Cort, why would £8m be so outlandish an amount in 2023?
