Nice read, however;

"To play in front of almost 20,000 people every 2 weeks and have them boo and jeer you most of the time, deserved or not, must be demoralising."

....just does not reflect the atmosphere over the vast majority of the season. It's been like a morgue, yes. But not remotely as hostile to the players as that makes out.

You know what, you're right. TBH that's the toned-down version. My initial draft was more disparaging to the fans but I thought against it. Fuck it. It's out there now.
