I certainly would. When the great Dave Bassett went to the Chairman's office early in his tenure and offered the legendary Derek Dooley his resignation, he was told 'I suggest you get back to your desk and get on with the job that we employ you to do'.

Derek was a wise man. Chris can heed the wise man's words, if necessary.

You do know that Anel, Souza and Hamer will be sold one day before the window closes, conveniently leaving us with no time to replace them.

It is a Sheffield United trick that has been used often so that the club can deliberately show its absolute disdain for its supporters

In fact it wouldn't surprise me if deals had been done already but the club has asked the buying clubs to wait a while and offer them a discount to wait so that United can really stick the dagger through everyone's hearts.

Strangely enough all of them will develop a couple of niggles between now and next Friday

Wilder will then walk again leaving us managerless, playerless, and boardroomless, and eventually sensible fanless.
