WHAT…….Mental scars my Cruxifix! They get paid £1000,s a week, train a few hours a day, live celebrity lives in their local area, and you say get mental scars?

12 hours on shifts, working nights, minimum wage, down the pit, under a vehicle, etc, etc, don’t patronise me. The little darlings live in pampered bubbles attracting all the attractive groupies who want to snag a money tree.

Mental scars are what my father had after running up a beach on D Day with real bullets being fired at him and friends dropping around him.
How naive.

I don't go to games due to ill health, but watch as many games as possible plus highlights and read the comments on here.
Imo best 11 will be
Cooper
Choudry, anel, Holding, burrows
Vini,peck
O'Hare, hamer, bbd
Campbell

I've seen when we've been on the front foot we can beat anyone, I've noticed these guys look for the pass in front, not sideways and backwards
As I've said before I'd like to see anel move to cdm with vini and free up young peck and give baptiste a chance with holding ( baptiste would benefit the experience with rob )

But hey-ho what do I know ??

OK Vicar. Keep your hair on mate. I take your point though. I remember the old Australian cricketer Keith Miller talking about cricketers' being under pressure. He compared to be several thousand feet up with a Messerscmidt up his arse? Mental scars is a bit strong. However, confidence must have been shot to pieces having been dicked every week. How can we forget the 0-8 and the Arsenal games. They were real pastings. Arsenal could have easily got 10 if they wanted to. My point remains that although there have been some disappointing dispays; the recovery from last season has been notable

Who are the, presumably 3, managers sacked before the start of the next season?

And were they sacked or did they leave to join another club?
Two have Blades connections: Slaviša Jokanović left Watford in 2015 after failing to agree a new deal, Steve Bruce resigned as Hull City manager after promotion in 2016 and Enzo Maresca left Leicester City for Chelsea last summer.

There's no doubt injuries, bad luck have been a factor but promotion sides overcome setbacks. Tom Davies? He was finding a rich vein of form. Calm, assured on the ball then crocked again. Arblaster, Souttar proved pivotal losses. Brooks? Why can't he get a look in now? He was a real asset first half of the season. All in all we were a better, more attacking side in the first half of the season. The JTW was crucial but didn't in retrospect carry us forward. BBD has been a disappointment to be frank. The team looks disjointed and less united.

These are the tactical, personnel problems. But there is an even bigger problem which is mentality. The players look on the floor and are not playing with belief and desire something which we had previously. This can come back with a lift from a big, noisy crowd and the right motivation and direction from the manager. The problem is if CW has this belief in his players himself and is prepared to ditch the negative approach. I have doubts, we all do. Motivation, instilling a winning mentality and fighting spirit were CW's managerial strong points. Does he still have it? He looks tired, the team looks tired. We need a monumental effort. If we fall short I believe it'll be time for a new direction. Over to you Chris.
Not surprised he’s tired
