"£6m rated"...![]()
Norwich City transfer rumours: City track Blades' full back
Sheffield United's young full back, Jayden Bogle, is being tipped as a possible replacement for Max Aarons at Norwich City.www.edp24.co.uk
Wouldnt be happy if he left, good player
"£6m rated"...
Every player has his price and Bogle's is about the same as Aaron's. They're similar players with similar ceilings.
Sadly that's the legacy that daft twat McCabe as left us with.Someone should give Norwich a call and tell them that McCabe is no longer our Chairman. Daft sods whoever thinks that Utd would sell at £6m...dear me who writes this shit?
Tomorrows article, Norwich plan double raid of SUFC pair Sander Berge and Aaron Ramsdale in £3m for the paid swoop......
If we sold them both? For me we've got x2 RB's who could fetch £20m.
Aarons was awful in the premier league 2 seasons ago. He’s done well in the championship (especially last year). He will probably make a mid/lower prem RB but I don’t understand how clubs like Bayern are interested.Aarons is head and shoulders above Bogle.
TwiceIf we sold them both?
Bogle in 2 championship seasons has 14 assists vs Aarons 8 over 2 seasons.Aarons is head and shoulders above Bogle.
So after signing him from Derby for 6 mill, he massively impresses in the prem, scores some good goals and looks a very promising talent his value has increased by absolutely nothing. Yet Norwich players in a similar situation go for 20 mill plus. I don't think so somehow
Aarons is so much better defensively than Bogle.Bogle in 2 championship seasons has 14 assists vs Aarons 8 over 2 seasons.
Aarons scored zero goals in his only premier league campaign vs Bogle who scored 2 (playing considerably less minutes)
Defensively they are both poor but overall i don't think there's much between them tbh
True there's still people arguing that the money we got for Calvert Lewin and Che Adams was both good and realistic!!!!It isn’t only McCabe that under valued our own players,it would appear that a lot of our supporters suffer from the same condition. In defence of ‘there is no bigger blade,McCabe’ we were nearly always on the bones of our arse when he was chairman and player sales were often done in desperation. We are not in that position now and our current chairman is far more astute,i don’t think we will get our pockets picked in the shameful way it has been done in the past.

Think it was Barca but they were trying to swindle a bargain and didn’t have the funds to meet the asking price.Wasn't Aaron's close to going to Liverpool and/or Bayern Munich in the last year?
I think Bogle has good potential definitely but not sure he'd command the same level of interest or fee as Aarons. Aarons has been a regular in a team promoted twice and in the Prem.. albeit Norwich were as bad as us.
As I say I like Bogle but he was in and out last season and has not yet established himself here. He had a few decent games and got a few goals but to say he massively impressed on the Prem is is real stretch! He was not a regular in the worst team in the league.
We prob can't have two Champ definite starters in a specific position so one will probably move on.
If you sold Bogle you might get 6-8 million. 10 at a push (you'd get what we paid and maybe a bit more) but Aarons market fee is probably double that.
Laughable you're becoming a parody of yourself nowWasn't Aaron's close to going to Liverpool and/or Bayern Munich in the last year?

Personally thought Aaron's, Godfrey and
Laughable you're becoming a parody of yourself now
Why ? You didn't?No problems disagreeing but say why rather than having a go at me.
Ask a neutral football fan...not Norwich or a Blade who commands a bigger fee and may get more interest. Not sure many if any would say Bogle at all? Course proof will be what happens.
Godfrey and Aarons were regulars in the Prem.
Bogle started 11 games and was primarily a back up.
Not sure there is anything wildly controversial in what I've said. Why that makes me a parody of myself I don't know?
I do like Bogle and think in a few years we have a real gem but at the moment Aarons is a better player with more experience at the top level (Prem and top of Champ)
What I will say is the fact Bogle is cheaper may mean teams might prefer him weirdly if looking for a back up.
Why ? You didn't?
Should change your username to deadpan
You're the only blade I know who.constantly refers to us as a dirty sideGreat response
All for different opinions but you have just put two posts just criticising a poster rather than disagreeing the posts. Tell me why you disagree? Offer some rationale otherwise just don't bother posting a response

Your opinions on everything Sheffield United are so negative I can only assume you are on anti exuberants

When you mention that Bogle was a bit in and out, that is partly down to the fact we also have Baldock.Wasn't Aaron's close to going to Liverpool and/or Bayern Munich in the last year?

Thanks CB for getting this thread back on track. When you mention that Bogle was a bit in and out, that is partly down to the fact we also have Baldock.
I suppose the question you could ask is, in Aarons case, did Norwich have someone of Baldock's quality pushing him? And I think the answer would be no.
I'd agree that Aarons is a bit ahead. He's 6 months older and has played 30 more games which pretty much accounts for the additional games.
I think Norwich were a lot poorer defensively than we were in the PL however if Bogle had played more I think we would have been worse defensively too!
I thought he did ok at left wing back to be honest especially at Man U. I know we have left wing backs options coming out of our ears but how many are up to it? If you'd consider Norrington-Davies and Bogle as options there and retained Baldock, so 3 main wing back options plus Seriki, you'd have decent competition, especially as RND can compete for LCB if needed. You've still got Osborn as an extra body if needed and can then offload Stevens and Lowe if anyone will take them.
Problem United have is clubs seldom come in for players you want to get rid of but will certainly be interested in those you want to keep!
