Phil Harres – Holsten Kiel

As overseas targets have been the focus for Sheffield United this summer, with start with an option on the continent. 23-year-old Phil Harres only joined Holsten Kiel last summer, but after their relegation from the Bundesliga, he could be a great striker to consider.

After prolific stints in the lower levels of German football, the 193cm striker jumped up to the top flight last season and notched a respectable 10 goals and three assists in 34 games across all competitions. His best moment came as he scored and provided an assist in a 4-2 win over Borussia Dortmund.

Apparently wolves ready to move a for him palace been watching to valued at £8.5 million!.

He gets 12 points from playing in the Bundesliga, we could potentially take it to the GBE exceptions panel but more than likely be told it’s what the ESC slots are for (which we’ve used up)

He gets enough points because he played over 50% of games. Similar to soumare. 10 points for Portuguese top league and 5 (I think) for over 50% appearances

I don’t think he does, he played <50% for Holstein Kiel and the went to Holstein Kiel 2 which looks to be their youth team

I'd be pretty surprised if we sign a striker on a permanent this window. We know what our strategy is with fees and surely we have 4 other position to prioritise. DM, RB, CB and a winger will surely be targeted first.

Let's get a Kraut striker in,I would LOVE it honestly.I'm a big fan of German style of football.
