Outgoing? Bogle

The thing that kills me about Baldock is he shite crossing ability and lack of finishing. I feel like Bogle has the greater upside and maybe another year in the Championship is what Bogle needs to develop. Him and Siriki can provide us some attacking prowess down that wing.
That Baldock miss at WBA still haunts me 🤣🤣

If we need to sell to cover 40 million. Then it could end up being 60 mil selling and 20 mil buying to get a new midfield and a defender.
Obviously Berge is favourite to go based on interest and the money we would get for him.
Bogle or Baldock could move on. After that it gets more complex. I would sell McBurnie for what we can get but that also means getting a replacement. I don't see Egan getting too much interest from the premier league. JOC will have to prove himself after his injury but would command a decent fee.
Hopefully the 40 mil is incorrect. Otherwise we will have limited changes bar getting rid of some deadwood. Interesting times ahead.

Wouldn't be surprised to see him go to free up funds if the offer is north of £12m.
Still very young with a lot of time to improve but he's an absolute liability as a defender (he just has no idea how to defend properly) and not good enough going forward to command a regular midfield birth in a team gunning for promotion (IMO).
Be interesting to see how the club deals with this one.

Would hate to see Bogle go. Think he is the type of player who would absolutely thrive under Joka and end up being worth alot more than if we sold him now.

They were asking for crazy money for their unproven right back at the start of the season. Let’s do the same with ours.

I wouldn’t be betting on this £40m of sales thing being true. Remember when we went up and it seemed to become fact that we only had £20m to spend...
True but that was based purely on posters claiming to be ITK, there wasn’t a logical reason behind it. With the £40m, it’s clear that we’ll have a reduction in income of around £40m. What we don’t know is how much our wage bill will be with the reductions the players are supposed to have in their contracts. I can’t think of any club that’s been relegated from the PL that hasn’t had to sell anyone so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect a couple of sales.

If the fourty million parachute money doesn't cover our wage bill then these players were vastly overpaid last season considering all contracts have a relegation clause

How do you view the assertion that we "need to sell £40m worth of talent" ?
Is it because we need to spend £40m acquiring a completely new midfield (which is correct btw) ?
I think it came via the local media (examiner live?) shortly after CW departing. Didn't they also say we were having a Head Coach under a DoF?

Fair enough , but the media is just the media , they don't know what's occurring in the Prince's head ... Most of which is pretty good since he took over. He ain't no Kevin the Seller , sellin em quick & cheap
If we ain't got some readies to improve the squad after 2 years in the prem then it's time to pack it in
Even taking into account ::covid & the prince buying McCabe out we have never been in a stronger financial position to have a crack at promotion.

Hope you're right, pal.
I just haven't seen anything to suggest he has the work-rate and determination to do well in a team that will have tremendous pressure on them to go out and dominate the opposition. He's supposed to be a defender that likes to get forward but have you seen anything to suggest he could take Baldock's place? If the suggestion is that we could play him in midfield, don't you think we should be setting our sights higher than him as a consistent, influential midfield attacker that creates and scores goal?
As I said though, he's young and has time to learn and thrive under the new Manager's demands. Only my opinion but I don't quite see a defined role for him that he looks like he could 'nail down'.
I sincerely hope he proves my wrong.

Bogle averages 10-15 assists per season in the Championship. He's achieved this twice before his 20th birthday. United should have a team that dominates the ball and takes advantage of the attacking prowess of Bogle, whilst Bogle benefits from a year of polishing his defensive play in the more forgiving environs of the Championship. Norwich are looking at him as their next 30 million plus sale as they know they can polish him a bit and capitalise on this. United would be stupid to deal. There are precious few young talents like Bogle in the marketplace.

Spot on ⚔️

Jayden Bogle has just been voted amongst the top 50 young players IN THE WORLD do we really want to sell him .?Really or do we hang on to a really good prospect we have got for peanuts. How much would we have to pay to replace a prospect like him?

It must be true
Deffo worth £30m now

Is Brewster in the top 50?

Since we're including defenders who can't defend I wondered if we're including strikes who can't score.

I see potential In Bogle but he is far from the finished article
Defensively not strong enough and tends to get wrong side of his man and whilst having undoubted ability going forward, he tends to give the ball away and needs to become more aware of what is happening around him.
No doubt could make a good player but a long way to go

Full backs don't need to be able to defend. Just ask Gareth Southgate.
Was going to say I could see Bogle playing for England one day, but that says more about England defenders than it does about Bogle.

Tbh I do see a big future for him and should be one of the 3 younguns we build squad around next season. (Ramsdale and Brewster obviously other two)

Norwich, got relegated, conceded a fuck tonne of goals and were terrible defensively, let half that defence (Lewis and Godfrey) go for 40m

Lewis wasn't even first choice left back.
