Vini Souza man of the match immense game
Totally agree. He was off the chart in IMHO. He and Blaster are a fantastic combo in.midfield and it's one reason our defensive record is so good. Dont think we would have lost at Boro with Vini in the team. Just need to stop him getting yellow cards.

My 7 year old Grandson thought Campbell was called Chinese Campbell 🤣, now every time he’s mentioned in the comentry it does sound like “Chinese Campbell”. Think it’s gonna stick.

He made a big difference over a Brewster. Hope Brewster isn’t out for another spell
Well let’s hope Chinese Campbell’s goal starts him on a Spring Roll…

Blackburn were crap, we were very good. I was especially happy with our willingness to have a pop at goal late on.

what is the rest of the song that we were singing today .............. something like

''Gonna be United all the way''
Win, lose or draw we'll come back for more, it's going to be united all the way, don't go out tonight unless you're red n white, it's gonna be united all the way.

I think lol.

As others have said, great Win professional performance and another clean sheet. Happy days.

Our own worst enemies in this past 5 minutes.

Turned the ball over multiple times through carelessness.

Arblaster culpable as anyone for it today.

Infuriating to watch.

Come on United. Tighten it up.
Blaster having a mare , constantly giving it away

I wish we'd compose something original. Tavistock United fans first sang that in The Felcher's Rest pub in Wellingborough, en-route to an Isthmian League game at Cerne Abbas Giants, in 1991.

I wonder what Burt Bacharach is doing these days. Could do a job?

Probably right on the loan side of things. Honestly I'd rather just sell him on. Accept the loss, take the L, move on. He needs another club, unless he's content being a last resort and just banking the cash. He's not a regular squad starter for me personally.
No club would pay a fee for him and he wouldn't leave us coz of ridiculous wages we are paying - the situation it at an impasse till next June.
Crazy to give a 5 year contract on those sort of wages when all he'd done was have a major injury at Liverpool and scored a few goals over a few months for Swansea - just crazy financially for a club with our modest finances.

And where were you when so many of our fans were screaming for us to sign him???

Moore has done better in a 2, Ohare has done better off the wing, think that's what alot of people was calling for tbh lol
If you're going to put little Lfooted O'Hare on a wing , it has to be the RW and put 2footed JRS on the LW.
O'Hare isn't good enough to play as an inverted winger.
We've had little threat down the L.

And where were you when so many of our fans were screaming for us to sign him???
Screaming for us to sign a replacement for JoC , who was never going to recover properly after he was brought back too soon.
Anyway , not for fans to decide on acquisitions but experts at the club.

Excellent goal, nice finish from Campbell, 2-0 game over

The match has gone to plan. It was our early goal that did it.
We've generally sat back but not given Blackburn a sniff.
The BBC website still shows that Blackburn have yet to have single shot on target.
We've done plenty of defending but Cooper has hardly touched the ball.
I don't think we sat back like at Leeds

Game over

I think it's clear we're going to flat track bully around 2/3 of this league thanks to our defence

Enough for a comfortable top 4 finish. Top 2 depends on attacking additions in January. But at least Campbell is contributing now. He should help get us to January in a good position

We're in a pleasing situation for next week now, with everyone fresh and available to start. We'll be full strength.... unless he starts OHare, at least
I was concerned about the drop in height & quality from Anel to Robbo but Blackburn had no power up front so we coped well.
I watched the game from the excellent side stand with my Rovers mate and he commented how organised our defence was - they never had a shot on target but we will face stiffer tests at Burnley Sunderland & WBA etc

Keiffer Moore man of the match today.
Moore played so well today , ran his socks off despite no protection from the ref , always showing for the ball , was instrumental getting us upfield , was a threat in their box and deserved a goal for the clever header which their defender cleared off the line.
A hero today.
Souza a close second , had to run the midfield himself coz Blaster was so poor today.

if we had a cutting edge in the last 3rd we would have won that game today by 4 or 5 theres.4 teams in this league us leeds sunderland and burnley 2 from those 4 will get automatic

Say playing a lone striker up top doesn't work, 0 shots in target and haven't scored in 3 games... sounds kinda familiar and must admit we looked more threatening when had both Campbell and Moore on at same time.
[/QUOTE]
I wonder if Wilder is recognising this and will now stick to playing 2 strikers ?
The conundrum is whether to persist with O'Hare and only one winger.
If so , I think the winger should swap sides occasionally , to bring more variety and give the oppo defenders more to think about.
O'Hare/Hamer on the L side are not wingers , though I do recognise their value to MF.
And we can't afford 2 strikers & 2 wingers if none of the 4 can do defensive duties.

Genuine question - what was the point of bringing Seriki & McCallum on at 94 minutes ?
