We probably did. But hinted £5.1mill would seal it, cos to be honest he is not steady enough to be a top class Championship defender.I thought we had already turned down £5m?
£5 million for a left footed centre back who is
-Tall
-Strong
-Fast
-Half decent on the ball
Maybe the Celtic scouts know more than Dave off the forum who thinks Jack Robinson is the second coming of Pablo maldini
£5 Million is nowt nowadays
Bad move to sell him if he carries on like he did at Norwich he's our starting LCB
I wouldn't say he's fast. He's tall but not commanding in the air. He's not aggressive either, not that you've said that he is.£5 million for a left footed centre back who is

It's getting a bit tedious having to keep calling out these stupid comments. 'The United Way?' Which clubs would have been able to adequately replace a player like JOC?Come on, be honest, he's not really been very good has he!?
We've been poor a t LCB since JOC got injured, and we've never adequately replaced him, it's the United way.
Sssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh, lose lips sinks shipsExcept he’s not notably strong, not notably fast, is not even close to “half decent” on the ball, is deficient on his right foot, backs half a yard too far off his man as a default instinctive response, reads the game poorly, can be positionally dodgy as a result, is relatively poor in the air, and looks permanently in a flap.
5 (or 6) million is a outrageously good business for us, if that is the actual price they’re paying.
Tedious mateIt's getting a bit tedious having to keep calling out these stupid comments. 'The United Way?' Which clubs would have been able to adequately replace a player like JOC?
Has our recruitment this summer not been incredible given we've lost half a squad, had a takeover rumbling on and most of our targets been courted by Leeds yet somehow we've still got a half decent team in my opinion. This constant making our that everything is shite and always will be gets a bit boring, don't you think?
Sssshhhhhhhhhhhhhh, lose lips sinks ships
Yep, relayed it to us via the high successful and communicative Fanny’s ForumWas that a direct quote today from Bettis the![]()
Only if you take it as "everything is shite", which it doesn't say anywhere, and neither have I said that! It's getting a bit tedious having to keep calling out these stupid comments. 'The United Way?' Which clubs would have been able to adequately replace a player like JOC?

But not enough of it, seem to be focusing on getting rid and trying to stop players leavingOur recruitment has been decent mostly
Exactly, we need players in several areas, and now the takeover is complete, all barring the media duties and official announcements....But not enough of it, seem to be focusing on getting rid and trying to stop players leaving
Go get James Hill in on loan and spend the rest of cannon/kamara
If we don’t replace trusty I presume they’re looking at it asOnly if you take it as "everything is shite", which it doesn't say anywhere, and neither have I said that!
Our recruitment has been decent mostly, although we are still lacking in several areas of the pitch, and that shows, like it did v Barnsley, did you think that was a good performance??
Good starting 11?
And however "tedious" you may find it to "have too", which you don't "have too" at all, you choose too, reply to people's comments, and/or opinions, which we all are allowed to have, you could just as easily, probably more so, just carry on past the post, to the next??
But what about the blades way??!!It’s because for a few years now we’ve been very good at extracting top value from player sales.
None of those CBs are good enough for a promotion teamIf we don’t replace trusty I presume they’re looking at it as
RB: Gilchrist, Shackleton, Seriki
CB: Gilchrist, Anel, Souttar, Robbo, RND
LB: McCallum Burrows RND
Id still prefer to see Trusty replaced because if we’re looking for left & right footed balance I’m not sure Robbo/ RND are good enough in a back 4
Celtic mate thinks CCV is world class. He'll be a good signing for Celtic because he won't have any actual defending to do
This could be a problem for United because he will be so impressive doing practically nothing that a Premier League club will give Celtic £30 million for him............it'd be funny if it was Arsenal.
He struggles with passing and controlling as well though. He'll be a good signing for Celtic because he won't have any actual defending to do
‘It’s the Blades way’It’s because for a few years now we’ve been very good at extracting top value from player sales.
Agree. Has RND ever played CB in a back four?If we don’t replace trusty I presume they’re looking at it as
RB: Gilchrist, Shackleton, Seriki
CB: Gilchrist, Anel, Souttar, Robbo, RND
LB: McCallum Burrows RND

Defo need a LCB, we also NEED, a RB, LW, ST, at a minimum. If we don’t replace trusty I presume they’re looking at it as
RB: Gilchrist, Shackleton, Seriki
CB: Gilchrist, Anel, Souttar, Robbo, RND
LB: McCallum Burrows RND

But, otherwise not too bad?Except he’s not notably strong, not notably fast, is not even close to “half decent” on the ball, is deficient on his right foot, backs half a yard too far off his man as a default instinctive response, reads the game poorly, can be positionally dodgy as a result, is relatively poor in the air, and looks permanently in a flap.
