To be fair unless we've approached a fellow champ club direct via the new owners I'd imagine it's very hard to evidence

No surprise really that other clubs will squeal about this if there is a chance that we will end up with a big financial investment in the club that will give us an advantage. I’d take this as a positive indicator that this takeover is actually close now. EFL will probably only give (or may already have done) a warning to our buyers about this…..but this story is probably weeks old - but just more clickbait from Nixon to get readers on a Sunday!

Intermediaries are very common, so common in fact the last FM included them in the game

Yeah more likely Preston. I reckon Peterborough are as much itk as the hierarchy at the Blades right now as they have already bought new players to replace those they expect to sell, so they must be confident to be blocking bids from Preston. So I reckon it is more likely the squealers are Preston - particularly as we are also supposed to be in for Alan Browne there.

I still think giving us a -2 point deduction 2 seasons later is a joke from the EFL. It should have been applied at the time of the embargo.

The deduction is because we had 2 more transfer window embargo's now we are back in championship... So wouldn't be able to buy anyone until summer 2025.. So we negotiated the deductions to replace the Embargo. (thats how i understand it anywho)

This efl investigation, it doesn't seem to have made many headlines such as locally etc, only reported by the Sun and the Lancashire local paper, is there any precedent for a similar breaking of rules before? Just when I thought the things are looking up too!
