I guess until the EFL have signed off on the new owners it would be difficult for PA to know what to do. If the takeover collapses we really need to sell Osula by the sound of it. If the new owners want to turn down the Osula bid it indicates they may have some money to play with, but by the time we get our hands on it the window could be shut. We really need the EFL tests done asap one way or the other.

You can read it either way.

The “sale” in the second paragraph could refer to either Osula or the takeover. The “stall or even kill the deal” again could refer to Osula or the takeover.

I did initially think the stall/kill was referring to the Osula sale. But as the article suggests the Osula deal could have an impact on the takeover, I’m now thinking it means if the Prince sells Osula then the takeover might be off.

Seems a bit extreme to pull out of the takeover due to selling Osula!
How do the media talk to the prospective owners when no one knows who they are..

The EFL tests might already have been done. We might be at the fine detail stage at the end of the deal which, from experience, can be excruciating.

Because it gives PA the funds to run the club for longer without a takeover. New owners playing hardball on the offer and PA can use Osula funds to run the club until he finds a better offer (best case scenario) have one more tilt at the Premier League (worst case scenario)
Does he have the appetite for that though? I think you’re more likely to see the first scenario than the 2nd

I think he’s trying to force the deal one way or the other so that they either complete it or walk away, leaving him to move on to the next potential buyer. It is possible that he’s as frustrated with the delay as we are.

They can loan us £15 million for us not to sell Osula then.

The two stories today don’t add up. How can they not want to sell Osula and at the same time are using Des Taylor to broker a deal for Cooper using the Osula funds 🤨
Well you have to cover eventualities. Get deals lined up when he does go etc. It's still not really in their hands either remember.

If Des Taylor is involved he will be acting on behalf of the current owners . Anything else would be a breach of Regulations

Thought same when I read it 😂
It’s almost like they’re just releasing bullshit for the sake of it to try keep people onside…

“release a story saying we would’ve bought BBD if we were in charge”

“oh release another saying we wouldn’t have sold Osula and would’ve bought Cooper, they’ll like that one”

It’s all getting annoying, we just need to crack on, can see why CW looked fed up.

Story on us tomorrow which I'm expecting a random new name to be linked with us. We seem to have signed most of our rumoured players and not really seen a new name for a while.

Will be late in the window loans now. Nothing to see here

Nixon article just says that although club sale dragging on it is expected that PA will look to buy another English club after the sale goes through

Charlton Athletic apparently

That’s a club overdue an upturn. PA shouldn’t find it hard to improve their football strategy, but if he makes a decent wedge by selling us, he’ll need to throw a lot of it south of the river.

It’ll be interesting to see if he can succeed again without happening across another Wilder.

The profit he will come out with from selling us would probably be ate up just by buying Charlton unless their owner is giving them away!

Would PA pass EFL tests?

If I was in charge with his track record of not paying other clubs I would want some form of guarantee... We will still have a suspended points deduction hanging over our head so it stands to reason the man in charge shouldn't be able to just shake it off

A quick look at the Charlton forum and it seems they are surprised they are being linked with a sale!

The points should be tied to him and when he sells we get +2
