For all those that pay for his drivel, save your money. Next week's update is Blades still interested in a few but waiting for takeover. Hopeful it will be completed by 1st July

Alan Browne and Gabriel Osho today's Nicko updates. Unable to agree with them until tekkova completes.
Getting a bit boring this now isn't it. No other business operates like this.Business owners do not base their strategy on the chance of a takeover, especially when the last 2 have fallen through.

It seems we can make negative decisions like releasing players, not renewing contracts(Osborn et al) etc but no positive ones. This 'takeover' may never happen and if it doesn't PA may soon be trying to sell a club with no chance of getting back to the PL or even a division one price tag on its head.

It depends on how advanced the takeover is. If it’s at a very advanced stage, then they absolutely would.

This one differs from the previous two because the club have been properly professionally represented.

Now, change into some clean pants & practice patience. You’ll feel better for it.

No need for the sarky comments. We will see whether it does differ soon enough won't we ? Or maybe it won't be soon enough!

At work the new CEO, CFO and CTO all replaced and announced early. We had to await 6 months for them to come in. No supplier contracts or extensions could be signed for longer than 12 months during that time. All spend was put into a short term holding pattern until they were in role and could personally review and sanction it.

Be that we want to sign a player but can't.... It's that about every week.

Just where has this rumour come from ! we surely can buy plyrs ! We are not in embargo.possibly a self imposed one! Surely the Prince can see if we sit on the fence too long the players we are wanting will go elsewhere! So I am expecting movement! Crazy not to.

Correct! This week it’s that we’ve got permission to talk to worrall but the takeover is holding it up! People pay for this 🤣

Permission given to talk to Worrall but can’t sign him yet cos of stuff.

He’s reporting now that John Egan could be off to Forest now that he is out of contract.

Doesn’t surprise me
PL experience
No transfer fee
Won’t be on a top salary

Wonder why Nixon has put it out now? Usually saves all these snippets for his Sunday rag?

Sheffield United are running potential signings past their prospective new American owners for approval.

Blades boss Chris Wilder is lining up badly-needed reinforcements but any spending requires the okay from the mystery bidders, headed by their adviser Des Taylor.

Wilder has been speaking to free agents like Sam McCallum about joining but any deal that takes a fee has to be passed by the Yanks and their middle man.

It is an extraordinary state of affairs at Bramall Lane as they anxiously wait on word from the EFL about the suitability of the West Coast financiers

Doesn't seem to be an extraordinary state of affairs does it though?

Seems pretty straight forward that the people that are going to put the money in have the final say

It all seems pretty ordinary considering the position we're in, to be expected almost. But Nixon is a journalist so he'll fill his paragraphs out with superlatives to make it sound exciting or news worthy

Given that we play Preston 5 weeks on Friday…..I’d say that this is a royal shitshow if we are not allowed to sign players until the takeover is done! Which other club is in this same situation? So I’d agree that it is extraordinary.
