The Great Grumbleduke
Doesn't seem to be an extraordinary state of affairs does it though?
Seems to be exactly what we all thought.

CW: Steve, these are the players I want.By Alan Nixon
Sheffield United are running potential signings past their prospective new American owners for approval.
Blades boss Chris Wilder is lining up badly-needed reinforcements but any spending requires the okay from the mystery bidders, headed by their adviser Des Taylor.
Wilder has been speaking to free agents like Sam McCallum about joining but any deal that takes a fee has to be passed by the Yanks and their middle man.
It is an extraordinary state of affairs at Bramall Lane as they anxiously wait on word from the EFL about the suitability of the West Coast financiers
CW: Steve, these are the players I want.
Bettis: I need to run them by our prospective new American owners, Chris.
(10 minutes later)
Bettis: Chris, it's Steve. They say you can't have any of those players.
This is the equivalent of when you go to buy a car, you reach an impasse with the salesman and he says 'I'll just go and speak to the manager and see if there's anything we can do.'
He then goes and stands in an empty room for 10 minutes on his own before coming back and saying 'we can knock an extra tenner off the price'
What’s the significance of Friday? We will find out this week whether it is or not. After releasing 19 players and bringing in zero we have to be bringing in some free agents from 1st July. If there are no new bodies in by Friday then it is more than extraordinary
5 working days to announce signings ready for pre season training ?What’s the significance of Friday?
Random5 working days to announce signings ready for pre season training ?
Tomorrow is the day after contracts expire so the start of when u wd expect free agents to be signing. I thought a week was a reasonable period to see what signings come in. That is assuming we have actually been talking to any free agents, which is a reasonable assumption given we have released 19 playersWhat’s the significance of Friday?
Why is it random? We've had months to be lining players up and pre season has started. How long do you think it should take to start bringing free agents in?Random
Which players are we actually bothered about leaving? Arblaster, Hamer?
..as accurate as many comments on here ?Random

Any one but them it is a shrug of the shoulders.
Thats not going to happen is it.More that l don't really want to watch 5-a-side games at The Lane.
Clearly.Thats not going to happen is it.
The decks are being cleared. Grbic, Souza, Anel, Archer - if all went this week then that'd be great business.
Or maybe until we've sold someone. The biggest pre season of our recent history & we seemingly can’t get signing anyone for money until the takeovers complete.
Has Nixon said owt about anything in tomorrows rag?
He’s said we are in it. Not what it’s about yet
I’ll buy the Sun then just see what it says. Probably mention everything we’ve heard already today? Moore and takeover moving forward?
