The smokescreen is to deflect attention from the lack of activity in the recruitment. Get everyone talking about who are the people taking us over. Hence a ready made excuse when we get to August and are scrambling around in the last minute shopping zone.

Sorry I just do not trust the Prince - he is at the point when he does not give a shit about the fans - only interested in securing as much money back as possible through pushing selling price up as far as he can. However, I do think that he will know that if he can’t sell this summer & we are not promoted next season - the value of the club will plummet like a stone.

Pathetic post!

Shroedingers Owner.

Actively trying to secure as much money as possible for the club, without actively trying to sell nor investing any money to improve the playing squad - infact nefariously creating sham takeovers to mean he can worsen clubs on field chances but has a ready made excuse…meaning the value of the club plummets like a stone.

Aye
but apart from those bits……
So, it’s hardly the action of a business that is plotless.

We will be far more difficult to sell if we don’t have a competitive squad next season.

We’ve reached the the premier league twice without those pockets of land we’ve just bought up - non essential.

There would be zero sense in us doing what we’ve done if we were really skint.

What a sad state of affairs it is when Ben Osborn, a player that has contributed so very little since joining, is being used as a barometer for both the state of Utd 's finances and the progress of the latest takeover, although the two are obviously linked.

I could understand it if it were a regular first team starter such as McBurnie or Egan, or even a youngster like Jebbison but Ben and sodding Osborn?!?!

On this one the club have explicitly stated their is ongoing contract negotiations the other day, thus proving what this guy said was a load of bollocks?

Or have I missed something?

Personally don't think we should offer injury prone players new deals anyway but I guess they see limited staff better than no staff.

I take it you’re not overly familiar with the concept of sarcasm - even if it is, apparently “the lowest form of wit”
😉

We must be in a mess if we're battling to keep Osborn ffs!

If you go to the supermarket and chuck a multi pack of crisps in your trolley then decide you don't want them and put them back but have a little think.. Erm maybe I do after all

Would you consider that a battle ?

It's worse than I thought then!!

Last week Nixon said:

"Sheffield United stalwart Ben Osborn is being freed - despite having an option to stay in his contract.

Long serviing Osborn was due to carry on for another season as the club planned to hold on to him.

But now versatile Osborn can go for nothing immediately and end his spell at Bramall Lane in an unexpected twist."

This week he's said:

"Ben Osborn could be given a shock return to Sheffield United if their takeover goes through.

Midfielder Osborn was due to get a one year extension until a U turn by Blades. But they may yet try to bring him back once they have new owners and more funds."
Almost like it's filling a quota of gossip. He gets paid for that(!).

Ben Osborn deal still uncertain due to takeover
Blades have a few on list but waiting for takeover to happen.

He's fooking useless
Or.... Mcburnie emerging a serious target for Rangers.

And something about... meanwhile the takeover progress at the club remains very slow with little sign of any transfers coming in until it's resolved.

None then?
