Not on his own, no. They've also added Diagne, who's scored 51 in 64 in Turkey. Both of whom i would've welcomed in a United shirt.

If they beat us tomorrow, they'll be still in with a puncher's chance. Burnley, Brighton, Palace & Newcastle still to play.

He's out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season & available on a free. 25 yrs old, and can play 2 or 3 positions to a mid to lower PL standard. He's currently on loan at Southampton and I doubt he wants to drop down to the championship. Just checking on Southampton this season, and he's played RCB in a 3, RB in a 4, DCM (in a 2), CM (in a 4) & RCM (in a 3). He's of an age, wage, experience and versatility that would prove beneficial for us next season.

Good shout but would imagine if any southern based PL team comes in for him or a bigger club anywhere, like Villa, and he'll go there over us.

Basically seems one of those too good to be true ones.
I want the exciting young lad playing in Sweden but AMN would probably even top him on my wishlist.
And as a Blade you just assume neither will come off.
 
He's free and he did have potential at Arsenal, but he was appalling for Southampton last season, both in midfield and defence. He put in an all-time bad performance against Forest toward the end of the season.

I don't think he's ever really decided what to be. He was a winger for a bit, then a wing back, then a full back...I think he even played CB under Nathan Jones. I guess the positive is that he's versatile, but it could be a bit Ben Osborn without the workrate.

I don't think I saw him play at all last season. Has he been particularly good anywhere besides a few patches at Arsenal?

It's funny we all really want a guy that's struggled at the top level!

He's got the required attributes though.

He was a fucking monster when he went on loan to Ipswich as a kid playing wide on the right.

He’s spent too long being fucked about by Arsenal but he has talent it’s just whether that lost time and specialisation will hold him back permanently
 
No idea if this rumour has any legs, but I can say, as a Roma season ticket holder, that this guy is absolutely woeful!
