So if we want him we should hope his club gets knocked out to make it easier?

Woo looks a very static RB. Gave ball away with simple forwards pass that led to build up to Red Star equaliser

I think he's looked ok technically, other than one suspect pass, and defensively he's looked pretty switched on when in transition. Got forward well a few times towards the end of the half too.

Good game tbh - enjoyed it.

I’d have some of their MF STR on both sides

There are always good technical players in the Serbian teams, not sure how well it translates to our style of football but good to watch

Cracking finish for the Poznan goal by the way 😍

Well if we have genuine interest then we'll surely be following that up based on what I've watched but 🤷🏼‍♀️

Quick, technically really good, two footed, combative and moved the ball forward at the right time. Not a lot to dislike.

Not sure how Red Star progressing complicates things but rumours they've already lined up a replacement.

If that's true about replacements then that's excellent, Be a good signing this one

Red Star 3-1 up and our man has had a very good second half.
Id say very good 2nd half is a tad bit over reacting.

He wasn’t overly busy with defending, so wasnt in the action all that much, from what he had to do he looked steady, going forward again not overly busy, played more as traditional fullback.

He might be a good player and everything but if we're spending a fee of this significance, and it does seem very significant for us, then aren't we better spending it on a CB given that clearly Seriki is the long term hope at RB and RB is only a one player position?

Signing a RB for big money would seem to relegate Seriki to a backup, start 10-15 games sort of player and that shouldn't be the aim for him this season. His ceiling is such that I'd expect these development focused owners not to want to block his pathway

He didn't put a foot wrong though, not sure what more he could do though I'd agree he didn't have too much defending to do second half. Made 4 or 5 good passes into forward areas and got better as the game went on. As a full back he absolutely did his job.

For me CB would be the obvious permanent with RB preferable for a loan for the reasons you explained - maintaining the pathway for Seriki. Also we’ve just signed a development RB from Bulgaria!

So you are advocating for not signing a champions league starting right back because we have an academy product who couldn’t displace Alfie Gilchrist for the first half of last season?

How many games we get out of Seriki, is anyone's guess, the lads a good prospect but tends to pick up injuries a lot. Can't guarantee he'll play a load of games.

I really like Seriki and think his ceiling is huge but we have to remember that he seems prone to injuries and also, that several of his best performances last season, came as an impact sub.

If Seol was to come in as a starter along with Soumare, I would love to see Seriki and Peck coming off the bench after 60 mins to inject fresh, front footed energy. It could give us a real advantage now that there are 5 subs allowed.
