Probably because the football has been awful to watch for the last five seasons. Our first season in the Premier League under Wilder was the last time we consistently played good football that entertained the fans. Ever since then, for five seasons, no matter the result, the football has not been good to watch. We grind out results, often undeserved. Teams we go up against often outplay us and look better on the ball, more often than not by matching our own formation and "tactics" but doing it better, irrespective of the outcome at the final whistle.

Why do United fans accept mediocrity so easily and see entertaining football as an unrealistic notion?

No one is moaning about League position or results, but anyone who say we play good football or are entertaining to watch are deluded.

You don't owe Sheffield United, Sheffield United owes you. You pay good money to watch Sheffield United. Sheffield United does not pay you to watch them. You wouldn't pay £35 to go to the cinema knowing that the movie you're about to see is crap, and yet we pay good money week in, week out to watch Sheffield United play sub-standard poor football, and those that criticise are bizarrely made out to be the problem. This mentality makes no sense whatsoever. Football is an entertainment business so is it unreasonable to pay £35 to be entertained once in a while?
Jesus Christ……just when I thought I couldn’t read a more entitled post on here. Look into my eyes, look into my eyes….3 2 1 snap…..and welcome back to the real world🤣

I'm sure he'll start with a back 5 tonight. Defending the flanks v their quick wingers. Rest not sure, but when in possession I can see us marauding forward like we used to. They tried it out at Luton, last 20 minutes or so, and we looked like we did 5 seasons ago. No good for EPL these days, but good enough to beat dirty Leeds.

It's been a while since I had a pre match dream/premonition this close to a game but in last night's episode our left back sliced a clearance from his own byline which took Cooper by surprise who in turn sliced the ball in front of an empty net for a Leeds player to slot in to an open goal.
The fact that I was the left back, we were playing at Elland Road and their main stand was hidden behind a row of trees hopefully appears to show that my Nostradamus-esque effort was all just a load of bollocks and probably down to whatever cheese the current Mrs DBGoH had put on last night's Tacos.

It wasn't so much "tried it out" as we were getting dominated by the long ball.

I've had a crap day which has included, amongst other things, having to clean the dogs arsehole at 8am this morning.

Therefore, the omens are clearly bad and I can't see us getting a result.

Sorry everyone

Our dog brought her breakfast back up on the front room carpet this morning.
Does that cancel out the omens of your dog’s shitty arsehole?
Or is it a draw - like the game will be tonight.

I think this is too cavalier to be honest. We'll have to wait and see but BBD, JRS and Campbell offer little cover defensively when leads will be pushing their FBs forward.

Just wish we had hamer in the team from the start with out hamer we are a totally different side but other than that probably the best line up we could have asked for so we will see what happens

great team full of attacking talent, JRS BBD & Ohare should replace the loss of hamer. but Anel & Robbo partnership always worry me against the big boys
I think as soon as Holding is up to speed he'll be first choice for robbo , nothing against jlt he does give his all

The team is fine. But let's not pretend Hamer, Moore or Cannon will get any game time.

Wilder often picks injured players on bench with no intention of them playing, more for morale than anything else.
