Does McCabe want promotion?

I have it on good authority that it was McCabe who advised the Cypriot government to fleece the bank accounts. Does anyone else know of any hitherto unknown sins that that spawn of satan is responsible for?
I'll have a stab at Man City or is it a trick question ?

Yes, true. But if I asked;

"Did you really need to sell our top striker, again, in the middle of a promotion chase?"

I'd get

"Well, when Palace come calling, who am I to stand in the way? Next question please....."

UTB

I don't disagree with that, it seems to me that it would be better foremat to have say, five broad question subjects to be discussed in advance (perhaps decided on via a liiasion with supporters groups) and to devote 15 minutes to KM answering issues raised by that broad question with a further fifteen minutes dealing with supplmentary questions on the same topiv.

No doubt that kind of foremat would be used by the professional critics to allege a stitch up.

Well that's convinced me. A life times commitment to the Labour Movement and all his emanations disappears in a whiff of smoke when you remind me that the Co-op bank helped Wednesday.

I'm off to open an account with Barclays...

To be fair, they did a little more than help weds if reports are correct. They actively encouraged them to do something which, at best, was deeply unethical.

There was a series of articles in The Yorkshire Post about the "Owls in crisis":-

http://www.s24su.com/forum/index.php?threads/owls-in-crisis-yorkshire-post-articles.20520/

Some of the stuff mentioned in there doesn't seem quite right:-

"When the discussion moved on to finance, the minutes recorded Strafford and Parker had met an official from the Co-operative Bank the previous day who had asked for a proposal going forward.

The short-term cash issue was discussed, with the bank told "that given the current economic and football landscape that there is potential for investment not being forthcoming in the next two to three years".

The bank would be willing to move its due interest payment (of £500,000) as long as the club could push back a VAT payment which was due and fill a short term "hole" of £250,000."

"Parker then stated "that he does not believe we are trading insolvently" and that the Co-operative Bank had assured the club it would receive money from a finance house, advanced against early season-ticket sales, during the next month.

The finance director said he felt "the budget was appropriating next year's cash and plugging this year's hole".

Trolls like you Snoreham should be banned from this site.

Ha ha ha ha ha! From someone so full of shit he's got Andrex burns on his ears that is indeed rich.

Or is it ironic? It's hard to tell these days.

Troll, troll and troll again. If you got any trollier you'd be living under a bridge and existing on a billy-goat-gruff-based diet.

Take Foxy up on his challenge to put your questions to McCabe personally, although I myself reckon you've not got the balls to do it, and I suspect I'm not on my own. I think you'd do anything to avoid asking McCabe any of your questions face-to-face, because you'd rather post on here anonymously.

Of course he does. its much easier to sell a club in the Championship than L1.
He is however trying to spend as little as possible.

The man lost interest in the Blades a long time ago, he shud have left the.

His past history at answering a 'straight question' gave him the alias McWobbleGob.

It's like shaggin a dolly yer don't love, please go Mr McCabe.

Jesus Christ Almighty. Talk about getting your knickers in a twist.

For the trillionth time I have no interest at all in speaking to McCabe. As stated eloquently by other posters, he would answer yes but I do not believe he has the cash or the interest to allow us to compete in 2nd tier. Do you? As such, if we stayed in L1 he could carry on blaming salary caps and bad luck whilst running a break even football club.

Love United Hate McCabe

That's really kind of you, thanks. And then you can all have a laugh at how clever you are etc.
That's awfully kind of you. Tell me, do you think you're clever too? Perhaps you should join mensa, or better still, form your own society, with just you in it. You could have your headquarters in the woods somewhere and build yourself a treehouse and have a secret handshake and everything. Brilliant!

Anyway, back to the thread. Bonkers question! If he wants out as he says, he's more likely to get a buyer for a championship club than a 1st division club. If he wants to recover some of his money, more likely to do that in the second tier than the third.

I think the 'back to the thread' bit assumes a serious question, rather than just another bit of trolling by our pantomime villain Mic. If we assume not though, then the answer is yes. Hope this helps.

Clearly I'm not that clever, as I mistakenly thought by posing the "Serious question" titled "Does McCabe want promotion?" that you wanted to ascertain a serious answer.

You then went on to say that you think he would answer yes, but that you wouldn't believe him, so you know what the logical method of attempting to clear up such a conundrum ( or at the very least make an informed opinion after challenging the perceived answer) is don't you?

Clue: It isn't sitting accusing me of being clever for suggesting you take a logical option available to you.
Clue 2: It isn't Manchester City this time.

Is the answer "a cheese sandwich"?

Makes no sense, which seems in keeping with the original post.

The answer is clearly Man City, I mean who in there right mind would buy a club be it in league One or the Championship if it didn't own it's own ground ????
errrr before any one replies MAN CITY.................. hmmmmm for every Man City there is a Coventry City

of course he wants promotion, he just doesnt want to pay for it. he wants to spend no money, eek out every drop of profit for himself, then sell us to some idiot foreigners with more money than sense for as much as he can get. keeping the stadium and charging us stupid amounts of rent til we give up and decide to build a new one. its become the fashionable thing these days.
