Perhaps he has family reasons? and he may not like travelling long distances also that is also a possibility.

Maybe if we buy Akpom then it's an added attraction for Archer to join us
and if we buy Archer then it's an added attraction for Akpom to join us....sounds so simple ha ha
Getting them 2 together just sounds too good to be true.....they were both so impressive when Boro came to the Lane last season.

But what about if you’re “THE guy, the main man on more money & a longer contract @ Ajax & still retain , if not enhance “chances of being picked up by clubs much much bigger and better…..
Do the scouts @ analysts @ such clubs base their judgements & recommendations informed by their Sky & whatever BT is branded as now subscriptions or might they go & watch games (live) all over the world.
Not withstanding the high likelihood that Akpom’s opportunity for such heights is well gone.
When (afore Ramsdale) was the last time that a club much much bigger & better than SUFC picked up one of our ‘showcased’ players ?
 
I’d choose the club that’s offering the most money! That’s how it generally works with players ain’t it? 🤣
 
I think we'd be better off bringing in 2 or 3 more midfielders first otherwise there won't be any service to which ever striker we bring in. If Hamer gets an injury or suspension we're back to Saturdays dynamic trio.

Why would you hate to be in Forest's position ? They are owned by a zillionaire and can buy good players like MGW who will tear Egan a new one on Friday unless our captain is switched on as bit more.

2. Eduardo (whoever) was being marked by Anel...
Egan was in the mix also, but ya can't be putting the fault at his door for that.

Seems to be a weakness of Anels Lutons winning goal at Bramall lane was down to him being done at the near post,defenders have to get in first in those positions.

Looks like the dangers of FFP rules have gone over your head. Forest have serious financial problems, same with Wolves and Everton. I expect Burnley to have similar problems in the next few years.

If you were Wolves and Burnley, probably worth the gamble as they’ve both had decent stints in the PL and European matches (I recall?). Both got new training grounds and improved facilities etc.

Timing of the news also makes a lot of sense. I was at the Ajax game saturday, and Brobbey missed like 3 100% chances and every time he missed a chance Sven Mislintat (our sporting director) was shaking his head in absolute disbelief lol. Probably caved in to every demand of Akpom en Boro after that game.

Short sighted thinking like that gets you in trouble as been talked about Wolves and others havnt won anything on the back of it.
Clubs such as Chelsea and City took advantage of the slack rules in the past and are now in an enviable position.They couldn't have become so strong if they tried to do it today! Boat has sailed I'm afraid it has to be a slow burn now as Newcastle are doing that is the model to follow ,they have now a really strong squad (could challenge for the title) with a very clever manager a modern day Dave Bassett in my opinion.

Newcastle are one of the richest clubs in the world.

Our ceiling is getting someone to take us over who is going to push us to the financial limit in exchange for 5-10 years of PL football and possibly one jaunt in Europe.
 
Apparently the Forest manager is wanting more signings. The 30 plus signings made since they got promoted clearly isn't enough. Basket case of a club and I would love to see them deep in the shit financially soon.

For the under 65’s Ajax and Vim were dry powder bleach scouring agents for ‘t toilet bowl and ‘t front step, and Brut were after shave
