But I don’t know, brunt in for lundstram or play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 and at least it would give us something to discuss. At least we might learn something.

what are we going to learn from our usual 2/3 - nil defeat with one shot on target tonight that we didn’t learn from 28 other defeats in the last 34 league games. What is there we don’t already know about this formation with this personnel.

if we aren’t trying anything else new we might as well concede the next 8 games honestly. And it’s not even like there will be any long term benefit - we are playing players like ampadu and lundstram which won’t be here and not giving Brewster an opportunity to try and come good - there’s literally zero possible upside to this approach.

Monty Python used to do sketches based on the theory of repetition. They’d repeat the same (boring) sentence over and over again. At first, you’d be puzzled, thinking that it was a mistake. Then you’d laugh. Then, you’d feel annoyed and, eventually you’d laugh again, realising that they were pushing humour to its absolute boundaries.

People seriously want to play either some kid (they don't know the name of) in their first ever match against men in the PL against Arsenal? Or a 20 year old right wing back whose defensive capabilities (such as marking, tackling, tracking back and positioning) are dubious and who has never in his life played in the centre, in midfield?

Yes, I'd like to see what someone who is going to be with us next season have a shot and show what they can do, rather than continually give minutes to someone who doesn't give a shit and is leaving at the end of the season. We're down anyway so why not?

That said, I'd be surprised if we score another 6 or gained another six points this season.

Stats tell only part of the story heckers old chum. 3 million completed passes, all backwards, and all to boost his stats, so the club is blinded by some numbers on a sheet and can't see the shit he actually delivers on the pitch, and his potential new employers think he's the answer to everything. Why are we playing patsy to this lump of chewing gum we still have stuck to the bottom of our shoes?
