Take a look at the starting X1 picture. Lundstrams the only one smiling. Is he trying to tell us something.

It's just ridiculous, what are Hecky and Tindall playing at
They might be waiting till we're officially down before changing things. Not that it would make any difference but it's just a thought. There's at least 4 in that line up that I wouldn't even have on the bench.

There are no other midfielders

People seriously want to play either some kid (they don't know the name of) in their first ever match against men in the PL against Arsenal? Or a 20 year old right wing back whose defensive capabilities (such as marking, tackling, tracking back and positioning) are dubious and who has never in his life played in the centre, in midfield?

I get the frustration but it isn't going to work. Maybe when Bash is back. Or playing Baldock or Stevens in there against a team with less attacking threat.

There's no way a temporary manager, who will continue to be employed by the club, is going to piss all the players off or change the team or system and live down an absolute hammering which would probably ensue. We're not going to win, so any changes just make him look bad and by keeping it the same he can blame Wilder.

It's incredibly frustrating and we all want a change but the squad is so threadbare we're going to have to lump it until the end of the season.

First time since 1970 I actually asked myself "can I be arsed?"

Of course I'll be watching, but that's a new feeling for me.

I just don't get it 🤷🏻‍♂️
We have fuck all to play for, with a temporary manager in charge. Yet it's the same old tired shit formation , with the same players. Two of which aren't gonna be here in 8 games time. Just don't understand why we don't change it up a bit and start 1 or 2 U23s and a couple more on the bench.

Give us something to watch and be mindly interested in, rather than yet another defeat with the same old shit.

Robbie where's the downside in pissing Lundstram off? What's he gonna do? Sulk and leave?

Really looking forward to the game. Plenty to look forward to. Get masters on laptop. Got a cheeky Indian Brown Ale and a cheekier single malt. Read through news. Check out which celebs have appeared with udders hanging out this week. Then off to bed knowing am not at work tomorrow. Oh yer and I get to giggle at Burke trapping a footy

Heckingbottom has done the impossible and turned the fans against him in a can’t lose situation

He has the EASIEST job in the league. Literally zero expectation, no one will complain if we get beaten. The results literally have no bearing on anything - frankly who cares?

yet he’s gone with the exact tactics, formation and personnel that have lost 80% (EIGHTY %) of our games. What’s the point? It’s insanity - we know he’s a worse manager than wilder - that’s obvious. How is he going to achieve anymore with exact same process.

Play some kids, try a different formation. And no ones is going to hang him out to dry. We’ve got lundstram plodding around when he’s not going to be here next season. It would at least add some fucking interest to the game

Very good points. I only hope the new manager is already aware he's got the job and has been watching because there are a few that need removing not only from the starting XI but from the club. I can see the new manager being revealed as soon as we're officially down. I hope so.

I was meaning if you change formation and then maybe have to drop players who were doing ok.
Yeah fair enough mate I see where you're coming from, I think though solely in Lunny's case the rest of the players wouldn't be angry because as per Norwood's reaction to getting the hook v Leeds I think they're angry at the fact that he's nailed on for 90 minutes every single bloody game when he's on his bike next month!

I also think no striker could justifiably be upset so get Brewster some game time.

We're not going to win, so why not do something different??

Start Brewster and try and get him up and running for next season. Mcburnie and Brewster look like being our main striking options for next year and never played together. We're in a unique position in that we have nothing to play for and a chance to try things out in competitive games. If we're gonna lose, why not try something different and take a few positives out of defeat , rather than the same old boring no shots on target defeat.

Monty Python used to do sketches based on the theory of repetition. They’d repeat the same (boring) sentence over and over again. At first, you’d be puzzled, thinking that it was a mistake. Then you’d laugh. Then, you’d feel annoyed and, eventually you’d laugh again, realising that they were pushing humour to its absolute boundaries.

This year’s team selections feel a bit like that.

It really is baffling, and what's the point of Tindall? Surely he's got some different ideas, we might as well sack him off.

I actually think we'll still be naming Lundstram in the team next year when he's fucking gone.
We'll see his face in our dreams, last thing at night and first thing in the morning when we wake up.
Every time we walk into BDTBL they'll be a fucking hologram of him on the right hand side of the pitch. Wherever you sit, he'll always be on the right side of your vision!
His fucking ghost will haunt all 4 stands with that stupid fucking grim.
Whoever wears the no.7 shirt will have his face superimposed onto their own while ever they wear it, and they'll only be able to pass the ball backwards through some strange muscular force.
We will NEVER get rid of the twat! He'll be here FOREVER!!
AAAAAAAAARRRGHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!

(utb)

Arsenal 7 - Sheffield United 0

Heck plays a couple of kids in a 4-3-3 and you're seriously telling me know one on here, or including the person who pays his wages, would complain? Really.
