Wilshere would be a quality if hes fit as he says , if its ben osborne or wilshere its a no brainer.

A fit wilshere is probably better than fleck aswell

He hasn’t played consistently for about 4 or 5 seasons. How do you know how good he is or which of our players he’s better than?

Was on £100k a week. I would definitely take him if he’s fit, just can’t see it

Absolute fuckin nonsense that some people are enthusiastic about signing a crock who should have packed the game in several years ago. Why don't we ask John Ebbrell to come out of retirement while we're at it? FFS.

Been fit for the last 8 months just not been picked by the ogre Moyes.

Correct he hasn’t played consisitantly when he does occasionally and gets a run of games he’s a top top midfielder

He says he has been fit for nearly a year

If he has it’s a no brainer he’s 10x the player Osborne is and is better than fleck who hasn’t been fully fit for a long time which is a massive concern in itself

When he is fit though if we could sign him on a contract like mcgoldrick/ravel then Gerimin

His “I’ve been fit all along, honest, I can’t explain why I’m not being picked” claim has tones of the James Wallaces about it. I’m sure it’s in no way linked to trying to convince a good club to give him a contract.

He hasn’t had a run of games for that long you’ve no idea how good he could be with a run of games.

He’s been fit for nearly a year, he’s a ‘top, top midfielder’ and yet West Ham have just paid him off. That makes loads of sense.

There’s no doubt he’s quality you just have been living Under a rock

You’ll have to ask moyeseh on that one

If he’s fit we should sign him

If he was on 100k a week, what are the chances he would come here on 10k a week?

He’s going to be offered contracts in America. And even on 10k a year he’s probably gonna just get injured anyway, and take up a slot in the 25 for nothing.

Swerve.

Or watching West Ham for the last 2 seasons where Wilshere has started 6 and appeared as sub in 10 games. I can work out minutes played if that will help...

399 mins 2 seasons ago (3 games early season playing 90 minutes then less and less)
264 mins 1 season ago
The stats (without having seen the games) imply that he really wasn't anything like what West Ham were hoping for but they kept trying with him...

we kept didzy fit and he was supposedly made of porcelain... maybe we could sell a stint with us that way? wouldnt be against this transfer, if he wanted to come here then that says it all about his commitment to the game, as stated before he will have all sorts of offers from america so if he did turn those down for us then im all for it

He's 28, has a wealth of experience, technically gifted, would fit our system, we can afford him (free) and he is creative. He'll also know that he will have to take a pay cut unless he already has something lined up abroad which is unlikely in the current covid climate.

Clearly our budget has been overstretched with needing a replacement for JOC so we need to capitalise on these opportunities and hopefully Wilder et al will at least have a chat with him

Maybe at one point his attitude wasn't great but injuries and personal issues seemed to have turned him into a respectable young man

I’d suggest that it’s you that’s been living under a rock, for the past 5 years, from when Wilshere last showed any bit of quality.

I’ll ask you the question that OrderOfStGeorge doesn’t seem to want to answer. Which game did you last see him play where he demonstrated the quality that you talk about?

I think our Ravel experience is going to put us off this type of signing for a while.

I don't understand why some of fans wouldn't take Wiltshire, but want Brooks. Brook's recent injury record is worse.

Over the last 3 seasons Brooks has started 46 games, including his first full season for us where he was used mainly off the bench.

In that time Wilshere has started 18 games, with only 6 of those coming in the last two full seasons.

I’d definitely take him if the wages were acceptable. We are crying out for creativity in the centre of the park and he can obviously provide this when fit. We have coaxed game time out of sick notes before so you never know.
