Outgoing? Che Adams

But if they don't sell him we get nothing.
If that is the case then could it be because he was over-valued?
Adams will want to play in the Premier. The market will determine his value and we will get our cut. Whether we are the buyer or not.

Yes but the only way to guarantee getting our cut is to buy him. We are going to have to outbid other clubs if we want our targets. We, therefore, have an advantage when bidding for Che. I agree that we should still expect value for money but think that is a given with Chris Wilder.

My lad brought this up last night

My answer............................not happening

The £12m turned down in Jan will quickly escalate in the Summer when a number of clubs will be bidding for his services. I just don't see us being able to compete

Wages will be the key and therefore it won’t be us, not too bothered good player but a lot of a prick

Off to Southampton for £14m apparently....

Journo reckons that could net us c£3m in sell on fees. Shame as I would have liked us to have been in for him.

Maybe we could bid £14m and waive the sell on - force the ball back into Southampton’s court?

Worst case (if wilder fancies him) is they go to 17 mil to match the bid and we squeeze an extra half mill of sell on.....

I like the thinking but I can’t see Southampton falling for that.

That could end up being the start of a chain reaction that sets up our first signing - Charlie Austin

We won't be paying 14 mil for anybody.

Southampton seemingly cooling their interest in him a bit, after having £14m rejected.

We should seriously think about taking advantage of this situation, and our sell on clause with him.

Maybe he could be the alternative to Maupay, and possibly Robinson? He's basically a combination of both.

I can see the attraction and the qualities he'd bring but a big question remains whether he'd pass CW's knobhead test

Well we are not just going to break our transfer record we going to smash it into space. With the transfer fee and wages that's going to be a serious outlay. And that's one player how many do we need again?

He’d be the perfect signing for us, but I don’t think we can afford the fee or the wages.

He will get a decent move this Summer - Burnley, Palace, Leicester...

Callum Robinson should be more attainable and would probably be more receptive to the move.

We won't go for Adams, wilder got rid because of his attitude , not just because of the money. He moaned about the amount of training Wilder and knill was making them do when they first got there.

Please don’t force me to seek out the comments from Wilder praising Adams’s development and ability this season, for what I fear would be the third or fourth time I’ve had to do so...

He's grown up a lot I think. His improved physique and performances tells its own story. His serious head is on. Because he knows he can make serious money.

I hope your right. Wilder did sign Madine, so he does sign people he doesn't particularly like, if he feels they will help the team

That's the honest truth from behind the scenes at the time, Wilder isn't going to slag a player off in public that he's selling

I don’t deny that he wasn’t fine with him leaving at the time. That’s kind of massively implied by his comments this season about Adams having grown up a lot.

Also, hardly Wilder’s style to single someone out for praise if he’s got no respect whatsoever for them.

I know, I just don't think We will resign him. Still think Wilder will have nagging doubts about him.

We probably won’t, but if we don’t it won’t be because of how Adams left 3 years ago. His comments ahead of the Birmingham trip highlight his view on him has changed in response to Adams getting his act together.

Saying Wilder wanted rid of him "because of his attitude" isn't exactly true. Wilder wanted to keep him but Che wanted to play in the Championship after Brum made clear they were interested.

Southampton have gone back in with £16m and it's been accepted.

They'll be funding it by receiving up to £17m from Villa for........................ Matt Targett 😲 😮😮:oops:o_O🤮😲😲😆

They must have spent well over the prize money ( tv monies) for one season already
