Based on my last walk around town, these days the major institution seems to be Greggs................
I'd love it if Greggs opened some outlets in the ground. There would be nothing finer than eating a vegan sausage roll, whilst watching us beat Bournemouth.

Putting my serious hat on for a moment, when I watched the Ice Hockey in the U.S a lot of the stalls in the arena were franchise stalls for "bigger" companies rather than a generic franchise you've never heard of paying as little as possible and serving slop. I'm quite suprised that approach hasn't taken off more here.

Agreed. The Yankee stadium is like a food hall !

Presumably this deal was negotiated well in advance of our promotion being confirmed and the value of it possibly predicated on said promotion.

I expect we are now dotting ‘i’s And crossing ‘t’s based on our confirmed PL status. Hence the delay in announcing officially.
i's & t's you say ?
That rules out HSBC then

HSBC have a major foothold in the centre of town now. How about one city centre institution sponsoring another city centre institution.???
Some people seem to think HSBC are investing heavily in Sheffield because of the new building. They've built that because they don't need something as big as Griffin House anymore. They've also shut down about five different other locations around the city over the years (not including branches) and they're investing heavily in Birmingham including a much bigger new building than the one in Sheffield.

You're talking shit. It's not nothing in the Prem. Hence why, if a top 6 club has a player worth £4m, they will sell them for £4m rather than letting them go for free.

It's nothing in the context of what the big boys receive from their shirt sponsors, but it would put us on par with the teams we shall be competing against next season, well according to this anyway:

Also, I don't know what football clubs will do with gambling advertising is inevitably banned, probably alcohol will take over.

I’ll think you’ll find that some of these generic franchises you talk of are owned by companies who have in some cases over 30,000 of them!
And they use their own branding which may not be high Street recognised.
Now don’t misunderstand me because I still think they serve absolute shit, what we need is a proper independent who actually gives a shit and serves food you want to eat, drinks you find palatable and staff that are trained and efficient, you will never get this from any of the fore mentioned franchises.
We need to be leaders not followers on everything we do ! UTB ⚔️⚔️⚔️

It'll have to be the fag companies sponsoring again...

HSBC aren’t even using all the new building. They’re having 2 floors

I know at least one of those figures to be very wrong.

Also, Sheffield Council were desperate to keep HSBC in Sheffield and an anchor tenant in the heart of the city.

Another thought....with KM stating he has a buyer lined up...could this statement be a ploy to put pressure on the Prince?
If this shirt sponsor is the potential new owner, then a LOT hinges on the Prince either walking away with a deal or delaying the process with protracted court actions.

He’s already told us about the owner...now the new shirt sponsor deal...the vast majority of fans want KM to win and the Prince to leave, so if the Prince were to take control and blow those plans away he could be left holding a club with no commercial plan, abuse from the fans and going back down again with WILDER walking away and taking his club with him!
If he’s sensible, he should be looking to recoup the £15m he’s put in, add some profit of £3-5m for his trouble and run!
Sadly I think he’s a little arrogant and won’t want to lose face here

Unless I've missed it McCabe hasn't stated that he has a buyer lined up. He's stated that he wants to sell the club, which has been the case for about 10 years now.

Don’t mind so long as they fuck Door Deals off.

Yeah... you do realise that, technically, Door Deals allows this forum to continue operating due to the wages they pay their IT Manager, who also happens to be the S2 admin who isn't me?

As for the rest of the discussion, from what I've gleaned, we'll be none the wiser when they do confirm the name (as far as I can tell, it hasn't been mentioned in the thread). But the deal is worth £££££££.

£3,000,000? over 3 years seems a reasonable amount to me - I'm just surmising like :D

If we're looking for the most shirt friendly financial platform sponsor then surely it has to be Stripe? :)

Bettis has just been quoted as saying "We're in final talks with a new shirt sponsor, an international company, which will be the biggest commercial deal this club has ever done in it's history.

"It'll be a significant figure, which will boost the income into the football club and it'll be used to strengthen the squad for the coming season".

Know its early days but who do we think it'll be?
