Well we were starting to wonder what was happening at BDTBL and then Tufty wades in signing class players left, Mid n centre!!!!!
At last were seeing a manager from the Bassett/Warnock school of football management, starting from bare bones and building for now and tomorrow!
So do we have hope growing inside....is there finally a glimmer of light at the end of the league 1 tunnel.....could this be the start of our revival and the first step on the ladder to the dizzy heights of championship football!?
You can bet your fuckin arse it is!
So hears to the new management, the new board, and whoever duct taped McCabe to his chair, stole his cheque book, forged his signature and locked him in the disabled toilet!!!!!

THE FUTURES BRIGHT, ITS RED AND WHITE!!!!

Getting rid of the dead wood is something what was desperately needed, it was just embarrassing watching the team last season at times except for the obvious who put a shift in. Another couple of quality signings & we'll definitely be contenders for the auto's.

first game at bolton is toughest possible start
could go either way , but not season defining
but feel we might get a result even now

I can't wait for the first game of the season, see all the new Blades in action. It's going to be a long intro for Gary Sinclair "......welcome to BDTBL John Fleck.........and welcome to BDTBL Jack O' Connell.....and also welcome to BDTBL Mark Duffy!......and also welcome to BDTBL Chris Hussey!........and....."

Well, you get the picture!

Wilder has come in sorted the absolute nonsense around the club. He's cleared out the shite and got to work. We are now seeing players coming in the door. So far, he's done everything we probably could have asked of him. There's more to do, and let's be honest it's early days, and I've been optimistic for the last few seasons and that's gone wrong.

Feet on the ground and fingers crossed!

I love your enthusiasm, but there's a long way to go yet before we're in a position to be competitive at the top of the league. Still need 4 / 5 players in various positions and this is where we see IF there really is the will to give Tufty the financial support that he needs to build a competitive squad ........

I hope that there is this year ......... but I've seen this situation sooooooo many times before down at BDTBL

Its called "spoiling the ship for a hapoth of tar" and we're world class at doing it !! o_O

UTB & FTP

The new manager is certainly making all the right sounds and his signings tick a lot of boxes.

I'm cautious about getting carried away at this stage but things are looking a little more rosy at the lane. If he can add two or three more players of a similar quality to what we have already added we could be a very difficult team to play against.

So far so good on recruitment.

I don't mind admitting that I was starting to worry a bit about the lack of signings but I am delighted with this weeks activity and very happy with the 5 that CW has made overall. Half way to a promotion team imo, 3 or 4 more quality signings and Bolton wont know what has hit them.

In Wilder AND Knill we trust. UTB

I like Alan Knill. I also like his Spanish cousin Juan Knill.

Things have definitely taken a positive turn today. We're not there yet though.

My opinion is that we are 3 players away (I think George Long is good enough). McFadzean, a powerful striker (irritatingly, Ched would've been perfect) and another winger as currently we only have Duffy. I don't like Done on the wing as I don't think he's ever dribbled past his man even once. He's fine as cover for the strikers but no more.

Get those 3 in and we'll be hard to stop I reckon.

Might be best if we wait until we see how the team that Wilder picks actually gels together?

I know there's a feeling of optimism about the place, but proof of the pudding and all that, uh?

Rather than play at manager I'd prefer to see how the players perform and who deserves to be picked. So far Wilder has ticked all the necessary boxes, he's not put a foot wrong with the fans, and he's also avoided paying attention to the clamour for new signings whilst sorting out our defence. The guys we've signed today will be the result of several weeks diligence, as well as trying to ensure that United don't get caught up in a wearying battle to secure the signatures of the players CW has identified as his targets. Much work to do for CW, AK, and the players. I hope they learn fast.

Biggest load of sh*te I've ever read....how many beers had you had?

Signings are average (at best) and we will struggle from what I've seen so far.

Wanker that Wilder and why isn't he in for Messi and he let Ibrahimovic get stolen by Manyoo too.

What are we doing signing L1 players when we are a L1 side?

Looks like grim season of struggle again so I'm practicing my booing already. The missuss looks a bit confused, but bollocks to her as this serious stuff.

Wilder out!
McCabe out!
Gerram all out!

Nice to to know your opinion on the matter too, if the players signed, manager and infant club are not doing what it takes to make u happy, theres always Wednesday for you to support pal, they love negative bastards over there! Xx
