We need to purchase the carrier pigeons first.

Heard they saw him and he was rubbish.I bet seeing him for 90 minutes hesterdsy made the world of difference!
If we want him we could have been just as sure by the end of the first leg.
If we do want and miss out then we only have ourselves to blame.

I agree regarding CB' but we do also need a RBWhy? Simply out of desperation after a disappointing opener? Yes we need another RB simply for numbers but surely 2 x CBs are the priority.
Failure to prepare to prepare is preparing to prepare to failure.Contemplating to prepare
Put it in Latin and you’ve got the new club mottoFailure to prepare to prepare is preparing to prepare for failure.
For what it’s worth, I think we will end up with something like Gilchrist, Godfrey and Zatterstrom.I agree regarding CB' but we do also need a RB
However:
- From the news reported, they won't accept less than the 5m release clause.
- We've been linked with him for over a month, so clearly on our list.
- Obviously we don't know the alternative options that we've scouted but can't see our aquirement of them being anything but slow
Think it was stated, Robinson wants to leave. For what it’s worth, I think we will end up with something like Gilchrist, Godfrey and Zatterstrom.
We let Rhys go but last minute we also decide Robbo isn’t going.
That’s my totally unfounded prediction! In the end we spend about 5.5m on players and stomach about 60% of Godfrey’s wages.
How would you all feel about that?
We should send a scout to report back on him signing for someone else. At least we might get some tips on how it's done. Why don't we send some more scouts to watch him this weekend? Meanwhile, other teams will actually sign him.

Then offers a cursory glance over to the corner, where the fax machine sits gurgling away to itself....“And these emails you use mean you don’t have to send it in the post, incredible!”

Genuine lolI understand that before we make our move for the carrier pigeon, we need to send a scout to watch the one we want whilst he is sat in his loft, and then approach his owned 'Stinky Bob' in the Frog n Princess pub at Worksop for permission to talk terms with the lad (amount of seed per day etc).
Only then can the club look to make a move for Fluffybutt.
The above potential swoop (pun intended) was discussed at board level only recently after it emerged that the clubs previous scouting pigeon 'Speckled Jim' still hasn't arrived home from the Western Front from 1917 where he was sent to scout on a potential German target for the club.
Any move for Fluffybutt may be complicated though, as Stinky Bob is shitfaced whilst a cat is also known to be eyeing him up as a potential target.
We have a team?? Wow who’d have thought. There was me thinking it was just BettisThe AI recruitment seems pretty up to speed with identifying and signing development players and getting the deals done quickly, but the traditional scouting and recruitment of players is still as slow and shit as it's always been. It's like Sheffield United never learn from their mistakes. It comes across like we concentrate on one player and one deal at a time. We should be looking at Seol and a back up target at the same time so that if this falls through we're ready to go on the back up. Fingers crossed we are, but I'm not confident of this.
The sooner we get a DoF the better as our recruitment team have been abysmal for years.
Knowing us he'll have signed for Werder while we just get round the table to get a team together to prepare a bidWe should send a scout to report back on him signing for someone else. At least we might get some tips on how it's done.
But it's the Blades way! Of all the hundreds of footballers available, we get ally mcmoist about the ones who once played here.I can't think why Gilchrist would consider signing for Utd after his experience last seasion - played out of position and then frozen out. Yes, there's a new regime but he's not going to oust Binden at RCB (unless Selles is trying to recruit the smallest side since Snow White had a kickabout with some lads she met) and he's simply not a RB.
Also, considering how much Chelsea youngsters are paid, he will be after top $$$ I'm sure.
