It's all a bit fur coat and no knickers for me at the moment. I would strongly argue that we are much better going forward than we have been for the last 18 months, but that doesn't count for much if we lack composure in front of goal, and it certainly counts for nothing if our midfield and defence can't concentrate at key times, or keep gifting opponents chances.

I badly want Slav to succeed and I keep telling myself that the Fulham side he got promoted were still in 17th at the end of November. So on that basis, we have plenty of time, but we also lack the quality of that team at the moment.

To answer the OP, I think if we are still in with a sniff come January, then the Prince will give him some leeway in the market. We then need to bring in a commanding presence in defence and a proper athlete in midfield. The forward line will look after itself.
