Will Slav get some money for the next window?

No, Sheffield United are boring
They have to be to keep boring cunts like you clapping

😂😂😂

You’re aren’t even close to being right on that front.

What I do know though is that despite hating every single thing about Sheffield United and Sheffield as a City you haven’t yet found yourself the bollocks to move away from either of them. You purport yourself to be better than both but in reality you’re a million miles away.

They are not competing in this style or system.
You could definitely make this squad harder to beat. I’m not talking walking the division or pushing a play off place. If you think the players are that bad then why is Slav trying to slap teams to kingdom come but but leave our butts out to get fucked every game?

But of course, it’s nothing to do with the manager. It’s the players - they are the cunts and they are the non caring lazy bastards who are stealing a living. Fucking previous regime left us with this utter drivel so it’s no way Slav’s fault.

Did Forest change their complete squad when Cooper took over from Hughton? They had a shocking start but are now on parity with us on results, points and goal difference.

Let’s see who prevails on Tuesday? Confident?

Confident? Not when we have a squad where the majority can’t string together two decent performances in a row.

If it’s not the players, then do we need to lay the blame for relegation solely at the feet of Wilder last season? His team and they didn’t do it for him. But this is all down to SJ?

These are professional footballers. They can’t adapt? How come we play well at times yet make basic errors under pressure?

Give him some money, shove it in his back pocket and tell him to do one..

Brought nothing to the club, a bad move on a busted flush who was timing it out in 6th division football in quatar..

This is Bryan Robson all over again, dining out on past glories..

Get upset if you want, call me all the cunts going etc... Deep down you know he hasn't got it..

Most players raise their game for a new manager, us, fuck all.. Don't you wonder why..

II'm oficailly slav out.. As of now, not because of Blackpool, the whole season we've made zero progress.. Zero..
I don’t think there is enough spare money to get rid of him and appoint a new manager.

Wilderites want Slav to fail.
Wilder8erz want Slav to succeed.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United fans want whatever is best for the club. This latter minority group goes somewhat under represented during these exchanges.

Other than those wanting Slav to fail, l’d guess all other Blades want Slav to succeed. For rather obvious reasons.

Bigger Blades blah blah blah…..

What about Hibs fans?

I’d have thought Sheffield United fans would want ‘Slav’ to succeed seeing as he’s the manager and the manager succeeding would see the team succeed and ultimately that would be best for the club.

It’s not binary is it?
Combination of many factors
Strength of squad
Opposition
Owners
Manager
VAR
Officials
Manager
Fitness
Coaching
Organisation
Leadership
Injuries
Organisation
Tactics
Confidence
Attitude
Etc, etc

my opinion is that we should be doing better than we are with the existing squad and it’s the management that sets the tone and the way the team plays. They give the direction or otherwise. You have to work with what you have until you can change it - and you have to get the best out of it. Can’t just say, they are all shit and the last manager left this set of garbage for me.

Sheffield's a toilet, as small cities go.

As one of the Country's former major cities, it's a fucking disgrace

Really? Your posting history suggests otherwise.

I was banned during the latter part of our promotion season, and for most of our first Premier League season

Banned, after being called every name under the Sun, I bit back, and got reported.

So look that up in the posting history

Which promotion season?

We only have one loan space available.
Loans we have are:
MGW
Olsen
Hourihane
Davies
which means we only have one more loan place available unless we lose or send one of the existing players back.
No limit to how many loans you can have! Only 5 allowed in the match day squad.
Maybe JS will get some of what he wants as noway this squad will do it the way he wants to go.
Finlay's right isn't he?? You can have as many loans as you like, but only pick 5 in your matchday squad.

I know that's a bit neither here nor there as we'd love to have some money, but aye, it doesn't mean we only have one loan space left and can't sign anyone.

Like others have said I'm sure it doesn't matter so much about transfer fees as needing to get some off the wage bill before we can bring in others.

Oh go on then - I will bite on the original post and play the post not the 'poster'.
In terms of money to spend. I would ask the questions:
Where is the biggest problem and where are we going to get most bang for our buck? Where are we light in personell currently.
As has been said further up this thread we have a bloated squad. This bloated squad means it will be incredibly difficult to move many of the contracted players on so difficult to think of how we can wheel and deal and churn the squad. We already have 2 players for most positions.
Realistically I think the best SJ can hope for is:
CDM - we don't have one midfielder at the club with true athleticism or strength, only central midfielder with anything close is Guedioura, who doesnt even make the matchday squad. I would allow SJ to spend some money on a permanent transfer in this position. It needs to be someone who is youngish, who can tackle and run, bit of strength, can score the odd goal. I suggested Ben Whiteman earlier on this season, to much derision on here(?!). He is miles better than anything we have at the moment. We should be looking from League 1 right down into the Nationwide Leagues for someone, here. You could maybe even sign 2 permanent in this area of the team (CDM/CM). Keep Guedioura for back up for thie rest of the season and Hourihane as a Norwood back up.
Winger(s) - I think SJ should be allowed to sign a left winger on permanent for cash. This signing replaces Ben Osborn in the team and gives us more attacking threat. Someone like Sorba Thomas (but left footed) would be ideal - He is 6'1", fast and reasonably aggresive, can defend, can take a set piece. He came from the National League via West Ham academy and also now tops the championship assists table. This recruit then frees up Ben Osborn to compete with Fleck for the role of left footed midget in central midfield.
If there is a perm young, cheap centre back interesting us then I would look at bringing them in. Has to be big and fast. Would look hard at eastern europe or scandinavian league but obvs Brexit plays a part here.
I honestly think that the rest of the squad could have a role to play if well managed by an astute flexible manager...

Just sent one on loan to Southend but folk on here tell me he's not ready yet. He's exactly what you asked for though.

Full of shit. I asked you nice why if you despised the city so much why did you still lived here. You said your wife wouldn’t leave.

You’ve got plenty of form for lying to save face.

After many many years of going home and away I just stopped going. I wasn't living in Sheffield at the time which made it a bit easier.
I actually denied them many times. People used to find out I was from Sheffield and they'd always ask if I was United or Wendy and I'd say neither they're both crap. When I look back I realise that it gave me great satisfaction to not give a monkeys f@ck about them, it really was like being released from a prison sentence. It was like giving up a disgusting habit like smoking.

Sadly I ended up back in Sheffield after a few years and picked up on the dozy tw@ts again............big mistake because I find that I'm a miserable c@nt again.”

They didnt perform last season for Wilder either, who knew most of them. Was that his fault? If it’s all SJ’s fault now, it has to be CW’s fault before. Playing a system they knew. Clearly that’s not the case, whatever anyone’s thoughts on his big spends.

I don’t think that he will

The reason wilder left was because as prince said in the united way interview

“We told any new manager that we would only br signing 5-6 loan players”

So I don’t think that will be changing

“ I wanted adkins to get another season”

That’s not being huge clapper..........

Yes it is, he Brought some great footballing sides to the lane and I wanted him as did a lot of others, I didn't want us to part ways with clough either, another good manager, I was at the car park protest with Wilson (went to Billy Clarkes for some fishing stuff truth be told and nipped in) then Evans shot his bolt into that season and cost Wilson his job, I'm not alone in thinking we canned Danny too early..

I support the managers at this gaff, always did, but this one, nothing, not a flicker.

Wilder (sorry) gave them 4 games and said, let's try my way, and low n behold, off we went..

We can agree to disagree, I'm not bothered, but I'm on the back foot for a reason..

I'll ask you, what do you see that I don't?

Him being left with a large number of players who have been unable to perform, individually or as a team, for quite some time ?

Him being left with a large number of players who have been unable to perform, individually or as a team, for quite some time ?
Agree..

But its his job to start them afresh, make them want a new challenge, style of play etc, I get the feeling he wants to sell the lot and rebuild, but that's not the job he's signed on for, these players weren't mickey mouse money, they were highly rated players who'd performed in this league and were ready to step up..

What's our starting line up?

Nobody knows, half the season gone, nobody knows.

What have you seen that convinces you he's got it..

  • You can see what he's trying to do with the players we've got
  • His previous Championship success

Who would you bring in if you could get rid of SJ?

That's the million dollar question..

Blackpool manager. Just saying..

Where's my million dollars!!!

The big teams have a history of cherry picking new and up coming managers, so how about the bloke at Blackpool.

Just got em promoted, can manage a game, the players love him.. I dint know his name but does that matter..??

Looking at some tired bloke who doesn't want to even scout his own players, ffs.. Can't do n worse, get a bloke who's on the way up, trying to make a name for himself instead of catching a falling knife..

Note: I've used the Blackpool guy for convenience, I dint even know his name, but, let's give a young squad a young manager who wants to smash the fucker.. Slav, it seems he's non plussed.. Sorry.. But I dont see any (ffs-- passion)

I reckon Berge will have to be sold to bring in funds. Some of that could go to purchasing 1 or 2 players and then a loan or two. But based on Berges injuries I don't expect anyone to come in for him. Which leaves us with just loans.
You’ll be lucky to get anything close to 10 mill for him as it stands that’s another 10 million loss to add on
