Wilder willing to return?

What's so good about the backroom staff? Mostly they are ex Watford and Fulham, one had a stint at Valencia another a stint at West ham and AC Milan maybe if they were so good they would still be in Italy or Spain rather than freezing their balls off in a force 8 gale up Shirecliffe. Being foreign doesn't automatically make them high calibre, maybe they need the support of a defensive coach eh.
Of course being foreign makes a difference - they dress better for a start and are thinner

we need more foreign players and supporters / fact

While it was all going well he was great. When it started going pete tongue he got the fuck out. Fact
He was the person who made it all go well after it was horrendous for 6 years. 1 point from first 4 games as well. Surprised he didn't quit then although probably wouldn't have got his super massive pay off I guess.

Some blade

Regarding his pay off, he earned at least £ 200 million for the club by getting us promoted twice. How much 'bonus' are city bankers paid for earning as much.

£ 4 million is peanuts in comparison.

Promotion increased the club's turnover by £200+ million, it did fuck all for profit because it's all been spent, and then some.

In fact, it's worse than that because we've now got a high cost base with a declining turnover, as we had only one player anybody actually wanted.

The only hope is that Wilder, now he's back in a job, will demand that Middlesbrough sign one or two of them. I'd hope it would be half a dozen but Gibson doesn't seem that stupid.

chris wilder was my choice for the job 5 years ago and he did a fantastic job for the first 4 years but it left a sour taste for me the way he walked away from the club i thought he had more about him than that so ive mixed feelings about him having said that i think he will get a standing ovation on new years day then hopefully we will smash his new team

Can’t we intercept Wilder going up the M1 to the north-west or is it too late

Dead right ,by the time all his dud decisions wash through the system (recruitment, higher wages his own compensation etc} he will have cost the club a lot more then the higher turnover in this period.

No applause from me ! He made a right mess with his signings in the prem.It proved he was good at picking up bargains in the lower division's finding players good enough for the prem eluded him.He said when he left to leave a legacy was his goal ! It's a legacy of the wrong kind unfortunately and we may end up in division 1 as the readies spent on players has left us in a mess! The players bought are not now worth anything like we spent.
The prince backed him ! He didn't get value for money another phrase he quoted often.
To demand the pay off he did
Tarnished his image in myn book.no I won't applaud him

Going by the people on here, Wilder didn’t want to travel too far from his porno luxury home in Fulwood that he has spent loads on? Looks like a pain in the arse commute getting onto the parkway, shooting up the M1, A1, A19 to get into Boro

Nah, a helicopter for one of our own would ease matters

Middlesbrough is in the north east and why on earth would we want to intercept him?

Not just football then , he knows nothing about geography either. Or the UK motorway system.

Look, I wish him all the best. But I really hope all the pining over Chris Wilder will now stop. Like I’ve said before Middlesbrough seems like good fit for Wilder. Boro aren’t quite that plucky underdog team, that Wilder likes to portray. But they’ve been punching below their weight for years.
