What like SellesThis hot / cold relationship with the club makes me laugh and saddens me at the same time . My knee is fucked . It hurts some days not others. It’s a metaphor for the club . Unless I do something about it for the long term I will have to suffer the pain and soldier on . The Wilder era is spent as was the McCabe . I will go for the major overhaul, suffer the initial pain and hold my piss till it comes good . If only we had enough fans who had the balls to get behind it .
This might shock you, but there are more than 2 managers in the world…What like Selles
Personally I think that could well be a great option, we have some a lot of different types of coaches to choose from, that know the players and the club and ultimately the board too. We have Guilherme Ramos, Gary McSheffrey, Micky Collins, Del-boy, Kozzy, and George Willis all currently in either the 1st team or development squads so a potential pool of young talent. When Wilder reaches the end of his time here (surely this is going to be his last stint!?), there really needs to be a proper, diligent process involved in appointing his replacement.
The problem is that the people in charge are utterly clueless, as has been proven, so who calls the shots and gets the right person in to replace him?
Do we promote someone from within? Is there anyone capable of doing the job? Do we go into Europe and find an up and coming foreign coach like Middlesbrough have done? Do we wait for Hecky to get the sack and get him back again? Do we employ a mate of a mate of someone on the board? What's Warnock up to?
I look at a business like the Co-Op who are going backwards at a rate of knots because none of the top brass are retail people. They've somehow ended up there but have no experience in the field they're working in to dig things out the shit when it goes wrong or to make the right decision.
We've got the same issue where the owners are successful at what they do in completely different fields but have no experienced football people to steer them in the right direction, hence why we ended up with a jazzed up PE teacher managing the team for a while, wasting what we had left of the parachute money. Wilder was left to pick up the pieces with a load of cast offs bought at inflated prices on long contracts because we were that desperate and late to the party when it came to getting players in.
Its CW's team and his show to run in the summer so its on him if it doesn't work.
Well there we are, if supporters aren't even ambitious why should the club bother?Nothing the squads not good enough. Why change manager just to go through the process of a manager seeing who is good enough or not again.
Sheffield United aren't normally in Premier League. Fans on here and social media have created an intitlement.

Thought jairo signed for 18 months..same as Bamford.Providing Jairo signs an extension as at the moment he goes in the summer, and any of the youngsters are kept, we might have some chance of putting together a squad. However currently is a man mountain of a task, we are looking at nearly every area of the park to strengthen on currently and bring in depth. Doubtful that will be on fee paying players so we may be looking at the frees and loans again.
Screaming out for a DoF, which solves all this. Cool head and long term strategy. When Wilder reaches the end of his time here (surely this is going to be his last stint!?), there really needs to be a proper, diligent process involved in appointing his replacement.

Signed until summer, we have the option to extend by a year but he has to sign and we have to put the offer down 1stThought jairo signed for 18 months..same as Bamford.
Both statements are perfectly reasonable and understandable and yet seem intended to create conflict.Well there we are, if supporters aren't even ambitious why should the club bother?
