Pretty obvious where we need to improve. We are so, so close to being a top team in this league. Even the games we got battered against Wolves and Fulham we missed brilliant chances at 0-0.

You can't help but be happy with that display. The break has done us the world of good and we look like the side that started the season again.

We have a striker who no one expected to play much or score more than five goals, another who has scored far more at league one than in the championship for a reason, another let go by a team likely to go down and another who has never done it at this level and waswas of football for some time. To have got this far at all is fantastic and still think another 10-12 points will do it, particularly if we don't lose to our rivals. With a bit of investment we are good enough to challenge properly for automatic.

Get ready for some new forwards this summer after listening to that. As usual says what the fans are thinking.

What did he say?

Enjoyed the game

Thought we dominated for the majority

Thought they offered little, especially considering their position and their 8 game winning run

I bet Warnock tells everyone how they deserved the point

Gary Madine cost £6M

That’s the market now we need to get our heads around

You can get so far in the Championship without spending much but you do need to open the purse strings a little bit more if you want to kick on.

Madine at £6M is Warnock getting desperate and pissing money away like he did when he got us promoted.

So how much is that Wilson youth valued at? Cos from what I've seen of him, I wouldn't swap my last ROLO for him....

So has spending a fortune benefitted Sunderland? Norwich? Wednesday? Hull? Leeds etc? I ask the question because there will be calls for new striker(s) after tonight. Reality checks> Leon Clarke is the third-highest scorer in The Championship - ahead of Albert Adomah and Ryan Sessegnon.

Donaldson cost £50k but has scored more than Jordan Rhodes.

Cardiff's sub. tonight (Madine) cost £6m - more than United's entire squad.

As sickening as tonight's injustice was, both us and Millwall are doing fantastically well. The teams that have spent big and spectacularly under-achieved will be looking for new managers sooner rather than later.

Interesting stuff!!

Who the hell have Hull spunked all their cash on?

We are doing incredibly well.

5 of the top 6 have spent £37m+. Spending big does not guarantee success but it is extremely difficult to be successful without spending big.

Our budget is pathetic. Thanks Kev.

It’s a valid point. But the top 6 are made up of teams who have spent wisely.

You destroy your own point.

It’s easy to choose the bad signings people have made and spunked loads of money away. But a lot of teams spend it wisely , like Wolves, Cardiff , Fulham ,Villa , Derby etc. Funny enough there all in playoffs or higher.

FFs Barnsley have spent more money than us this season!!!!!

Don’t say well they sold Roberts! We got Kyle Walker and Harry Maguire money!!!!!!

The point is 10 goal a season strikers now cost £6m. People on here talking about signing two promotion winning strikers in the coming summer.

£6m for a player that will be of absolutely no use when they go up?

Spending cash for the sake of it. Started on the bench, looked like the daft kid you made sub when you were short and only brought on when someone lapsed into a coma.

I see you point but Madine isn't the best example.
